The places where you buy your music
You can tell us more about Doncaster.
Record Shops
- Place on Netherhall Road really good for records etc
- Track Records
- Shame to see Tracks go. Yet another victim to the fickle and very shallow music buying public that would rather have the look than buy the CD! Thats right, you alternitive types are very underground when you buy your My chemical Romance cd form Tesco! Nice to see you doing your bit against the large over empowering corporations that would not think twice about putting you out of business as well if you were enterprising enough to try and specialise in something.
- rythm nation
- Tracks! go to Tracks. it rocks n the people there are great.
- H M V
- HMV seems the place to be...
Although there is now a cooler little shop (is is Track Records?) just opposite Walkabout, which sells a great range of alternative stuff as well as main stream music and the staff are very friendly...
- track records for older titles and they sell brill clothes upstairs. also cool spot near the market has a great selection of films and games for brilliant prices. highly recommended.
- Trax records is the best shop and there quite good for unusual or extreme sounds. They also sell clothes ,dvd's etc.
- Track Records is head and shoulders above the rest
- Old trusty HMV is easily the best if you're looking for something thats not in the charts coz they have it all. If your gettin a Single CD Album in the Top 40 you mite aswell go to Sainsbury in the Frenchgate coz its only £9.97. There aren't many specialist ones so stick to these
- Track Records used to be good when it was in the frenchgate centre, its a bit pants now though. Doncaster is crying out for a decent indie record shop.
- Trax as you can get loads of cheap stuff and band merchandise!
- track records they r the best shop for music they sell any music u want
- HMV is a great shop. I always find what I want.
- Our Price has now closed down due to the evils of HMV!
- track music roooooooools!
hmv, too expensive not enough fit assitants either
- Track if they've not got a CD you want in there you probably won't be able to find it anywhere else in town!
Plus its really cheap. e.g. Jeff Buckely-Grace HMV price=£16.99, Track price=£6.99
- track records has the best selection, especially good old 70's/80's rock
- Tracks
- Track Records is by far the best in Doncaster, but that doesn't mean it has everything.
- tracks is the best by far
- track records
- HMV is pretty big but there's only one independant now - Track Records moved from Frenchgate to Scot Lane and hardly anyone seems to go in there now, shame. A couple of specialist shops on Copley Road, but then again the area is known more for 'other' specialist shops already.
- Just take a walk down Copley Road
- Track Records is the business.
- all the geesers pull up in their XR2's outside 'Rythmn nation' playing extremely loud happy hardcore tunes
- track reccords -probably the best
hmv- overpriced
- Loads of Record shops to many to list.
- HMV is the place for records at the moment. It must be the best (and most expensive) thing to happen to Donny in years!
- Track Records is still alive and well, with really friendly staff, but it's moved to Scott Lane.
- Track has now closed down, and there's no specialist shop in town again.
- Fox's, in the Frenchgate, have closed. Long live Fox's!!!
- Track in the Frenchgate Centre - a fairly good selection of everything from a friendly local chain.
- Andy's Records - has become *the* chart shop in town but is incredibly expensive.
- Our Price - it's an Our Price. Nothing else to say.
- Fox's - was once a decent shop, but seemingly has no buying policy and a very hungry bargain bin. Can be useful because the staff haven't got a clue what they're selling.
