Cinemas in Dorchester, Dorset*

Places to go to see the latest releases

You can tell us more about Dorchester.

Cinemas
  • plaza, but doesnt show many films. cineworld in Weymouth is alot better.
  • Plaza - crappy small cinema, only good if ur under 5 foot tall and have tiny legs. Better of going to the sh**hole by the sea even if it does cost a bit more
  • plaza
  • Old flea pit. Better off going to the multi plex in Weymouth
  • plaza 2 screens 1 is tiny the ova 1 is ok
  • The 2 screen cinema in Dorchester - The Plaza is not very good at all. It shows films ages after they've come out and some you've never even heard of. Much prefer Cineworld in Weymouth.
  • they have the most pathetic cinema in the world.
  • There is a plaza cinema here but if you are looking for class go to cineworld, weymouth. The plaza has glammed up but its not quite there yet. However it does the job.
  • plaza no i like weymouth cineworld
  • Ha The Plaza has just been refurbished but it still only has two screens and still shows crap films until about 984738 weeks after they've been out at places such as Cineworld in Weymouth [go there instead!]
  • The Plaza is O.K. although it doesn't always have the most up to date releases on.
  • If you liked watching Bambi aged 6 in the '70's, then you will feel at home in Dorchester cinema. It professes to be nothing short of a teeny little black hole where '70's popcorn crunches underfoot, and you can feel the breath of the person behind you on your neck!!! Housing around 12, it would be better to go to the new multiscreen cinema in Weymouth.
  • The Plaza -- only two screens but has a better surround sound system than the multiplex jobbie at Tower Park in Poole. The seats in the big screen are as uncomfortable as hell though, make sure you sit somwhere with nobody in the row in front so that you can dangle your legs over. Don't know about the letter if you're under 16, sounds a bit fascist to me......
  • Crap two screen cinema. And if you aren't 16 you must get a letter from your mum to say it's ok for you to go!!!! How rubbish!!!!
