Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
- Fire station is pretty good. There is a blonde barmaid and she is amazing!
- The Fire Station - "IN MY OPINION(!)"... not a good night out. if u don't get hurt or thrown out 4 some1else, u may b thrown up on by an angry 'FRESH FACE'. Klimax or a 24 pack in front of the tele.
- Firestation is the best for a niteout but make sure u have an overdraft cos its friggin expensive! probably a fiver to get in on a saturday but its better than the pikey central of Klimax.
- the goerge ska hard metal anything
- None worth going to, try Weymouth for a night out.
- i absolutely love the firestation, by far the best club in dorchester. wouldnt go anywhere else for a top night out
- I WANT PAULS BACK!!! Sorry, I really did love that place, it was the only club you didnt get hassled for being "alternative" in.
- Buzz = wank
Firestation = good titty
pauls closed down for serving 13yr old alcohol
- i go 2 weymouth
- Paul's is closed down for the moment and is coming under new management so i've heard. That ones more for the younger crowd. There is also Klimax {formerly Libertys} which is for 18s and above mainly and is quite good. There is also the Firestation which is a lot more mature and a lot nicer.
- Dorchester Now has 3 NiteClubs Pauls is still Pauls it has had a refurbishment about a year ago but little else has changed. Then there is the Firestation also in Trinity Street. Expensive, bland decor, Cheese & pop downstairs & Golden Oldies upstairs(the music that is). This is currently the most packed out. Open Fri & Sat. Lastly Liberty's is no more and hasnt existed for about 3 months. The New "Club Klimax" Has New Owners the best lighting including Lazer and sound system by far. The decor in the main room is pretty good to. Open 3 nights a week till 3pm on Sat. The Statue has long gone no American theme what so ever but it could do with deciding exactly what its music policy is. Varies from Anne Savage to outdated cheesy crap. If however you like School Disco Thursdays is your night. Some of the Friday Djs are pretty good.
The Podium Dancers are still there on Saturdays though. Definitly worth reconsideration these days though.
Ps Dosent anyone ever udate your info it seems to have been the same for months.
- Liberties and the fabulous venue - Pauls, pauls only like to fill up with ugly 28-30 year old men in dodgy shirts and girls under 16. Allowing the satiricle phrase 'wanna go down pauls and get fingered'
- hahaha in dorchester, good joke that.
- Paul's is absolutely rubbish:its tiny, damp and packed with people mostly 18 or under. You literally get 13 year olds in there. There are also plenty of people looking for a fight. Liberty's is average. It's not amazing but it's got chemistry for a good night out. The best place is the firestation. To get away from the youth go upstairs-it's strictly over 21s and my parents hit there regularly! However downstairs is over 18s and it is very strict also. It is a really good place.relaxed, well set up, nicely decorated and classy. The best place in Dorchester is definitely the firestation.
- fire station.. its new and probably the best dorch has to offer
- The Firestation's a new one but i think that's more for adults
- Colliton Club. Take your own entertainment!
- Two clubs - Paul's and Liberty's. Paul's is a good laugh, always full but the music can be pretty poor. Liberty's is tacky as hell and full of people up for a good fight. Suppose it depends what you're in to!
- A new club, the Firestation, has opened up in Trinity St next to Iceland. A bit more upmarket and more appealing to people in their 20's and 30's than Pauls or Libertys. A nice club.
- Two clubs, Liberty's and Paul's. Paul's - packed every week, Liberty's - crap.
- Argh!! Pauls!
Arrrrggghhhhh!! Liberties!
- NO, unless you are under 16 or on copius amounts of drugs & alcahol
- Pauls's or Liberty's - the choice is yours, the former is full of drunk on-the-pull 30 somethings (and the floor's sticky!!), the latter is a somewhat "younger" crowd!!
- Liberties is the main club. Which is great if you want to watch pig-ugly women with fur fabric strapped to their ankles grinding against some railings to the sounds of Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi, or Love shack by the B52's. Really, it's that bad.
- paulls and libertys both crap
- There's Paul's Nightclub- small but kickin', and at the top of town there's another which used to be called The Buzz.
- 2 nightclubs
Liberties - dodgy american decor with a statue of liberty in the centre of the seating area. If it wasn't for the fact that most patrons are exeptionally drunk by the time they get to the club the decor would be offensive. The music is equally bad but would be helped if the resident DJs could adopt a sense of humour. The club recently introduced podium dancers - exceptionally naff but I guess they think it brings in a little of the Stringfellows culture to town!
The other club is called Pauls and deserves no further details - it's pretty average although tends to cater for glazed looking young adults.
- Liberty's (aka Stings, aka The Buzz) has an eight foot high, turquoise plastic statue of liberty in front of the bar downstairs -- says it all really..... To be fair though it IS possible to have a good time there but you've REALLY got to be in the mood for it!
Paul's -- a lot worse than Liberty's although not as overtly tacky.
- 2 clubs to speak of : Stings (used to The Buzz) small and full of tracey's and sharons and another one that i cant remember the name of probably full of the same though
- Classic cattle market is Stings at the Top o Town (but it's probably changed its name again in its eternal quest to look cool). Six pints needed before it can be considered. There's also Pauls on Trinity Street, but I've heard that they check ID there to make sure that you're under sixteen.
