The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
- Hugely overpriced charity shops, you will get better stuff at the indoor market on wednesdays
- We tried to follow the food guide for Dorchester and went to the Mock Turtle which had been recommended on The Knowhere Guide. It had closed down about a year ago! The Guide also said, 'Don't bother with Judge Jeffreys' - don't: it is also closed! But the Wessex is doing fine. Thought I would let Knowhere know.
- Grockles get out...go back to bristol.
- Watch out for Alan Legg the local tramp you'll recognise him instantly, easily identified by the tatoos all over his face and the bottle of frosty jacks in his hand, AVOID AT ALL COSTS
- Dorchester Market is held on WEDNESDAYS not Thursdays as mentioned in the blurb.
- Please, if anyone is reading this and thinking of coming to Dorchester, Don't. I cannot stress enough how utterly small and boring this town is. Sit in The Junction on a saturday night and you can actually feel your will to live being sucked away. There are no redeeming features to this town, believe me, I have lived here for 7 years.
- they should use dorch as a way of stopping townies reaching weymouth
- Grooviest place to grow up, one day it'll be time to go back
- My Dad was Born here, my Mum lived here for most of her early life, and my grandparents live here now. I spend most of my summer holidays here, specically in the Trinity Club on a Friday nite for Karaoke!!!!
- Dorchester soon to have its own 'Cracker' when Richard Peacocke finishes his course at Liverpool University and goes home. Get him at r_peacocke@hotmail.com
- We've probably got one of the best non-league football stadiums in the country, can't speak for the team that plays in it though.......
There's a leisure centre that's supposed to be dead cool now it's been refurbished (it's got an extra swimming pool nowadays) and there's a cool dry ski slope just out of town at Warmwell Leisure Centre where I watched my best mate nearly break all his limbs simultaneously in a highly spectacular and unintended flip over backwards when he reached the bottom of the slope.
- The market is on Wednesday not Thursday! And it's a good 'un.
