- Live music nightly with free admission at Kitty Kiernan's Pub on Collins Avenue,Dublin 9.
- Eamonn Dorans, Voodoo Lounge, Fibber MaGees, Radio City, The Vaults, The Lower Deck
- The big names head out to The Point on the docks. Don't forget to bring your binoculars if you are more than a few rows back.
Whelans in Wexford St. is an excellent venue, usually showcases local talent and also gets in plenty of good touring bands, eg. The Warlocks, Laura Cantrell, Justin Sullivan... Decent decor, good sound-system, not too big, not too small.
The Temple Bar Music centre is a good place too.
If you are going to see something over here, bear in mind that most places are bound to sell tickets through "Ticketmaster", who slap on as much as possible on top of the ticket price in the form of "charges" without actually telling you until you've bought it.
- Eammon Doran's
The Music Centre
- The Voodoo Lounge, Arran Quay. Brilliant joint, partly owned by Huey from Fun Lovin Criminals. It is the place if you're black, white, New Yorkian, Irish, or anywhat. Go and you won't be disappointed.
- Eamonn Dorans - this is where TFI Friday was broadcast on St. Patrick's Day 2000. U2 were there and all...
- Temple Bar Music Centre is awsome on the right night. Try some of the back-alley pubs just off O'Connell (to the east) - sometimes you can hit the best seisiuns by accident.
- Vicar Street, Temple Bar Music Centre, IQ
- Tivoli, Olympia both cool places for gigs, small enough to hear & see bands
- SFX. Tivoli: Live Music or Performance Theatre. (Tickets thru HMV and others) 135 Francis St. Dublin 8. Events vary widely. Point, RDS, Eamonn Dorans, Mean Fiddler
- Whelan's in Camden St. often have obscure and interesting groups playing.
