The places where you buy your music

You can tell us more about Dunfermline.

Record Shops
  • 3rd Base - thats all these days sadly
  • 3rd base ran by that crabbit wee wan. Good for Bootlegs and 50p videos though.
  • Shitty WH Smythe
  • 3rd Base
  • music zone i hope you spotty herberts are proud of yourself, the lovely bald, bespectacled guy is now receiving therapy after your nasty nasty comments about him - he is a sensitive soul deeply wounded by your comments oh and for those of us who know him personally you missed out - arrogant, opinionated, ranting loony, worlds fattest veggie, all round good guy!!
  • Music Zone - the Kingsgate's finest. Managed by a bald, bespectacled egomaniac. Staffed by retards and greasy 'alternatives'. Make it your first choice for bargain CDs and DVDs - stocking such well known titles as 'Pan Pipe Moods 9' and 'The Sounds Of Scotland Volume 7'. Music Zone is very easy to find, just keep your eyes peeled for the teenage EMO/goth/nu-metal/*insert genre here* crowd who tend to congregate outside the shop in their HIM hoodies, Bunker Boots and Leather Trenchcoats, trying to look all misunderstood and profound. Hopefully a huge HMV will open soon and save us all from this pitiful excuse for an entertainment shop.
  • Third Base has now shut. Virgin has now shut. Dunfermline is now shut. Please turn the lights off on the way out. Get your music in Edinburgh at Avalanche or FOPP.
  • 3rd Base! Best record shop in the world!
  • no virgin anyway they rip u ryt off!! hehe 3rd base good selection old n new
  • Virgin is ok but way too expensive
  • Third Base but the guy who runs it is a grumpy old sod. I was looking at some CD's once and he ran over and shouted at me for messing up his shop. I phoned once to ask if he could order a CD from an up and coming artist and he barked no and slammed the phone down. I'm all for supporting local enterprise but steer clear of him and get the train into Edinburgh and go to Fop instead.
  • 3rd bass is full of the best copied music in the realm
  • third base
  • record shops aye well these 3rd base i suposse
  • What has happened to all the local record stores? Where will I get the music I want to listen too????...............Edinburgh. Sorry but that's the way it has to be now it appears theold shops have gone. Saying that, HMV edinburgh was always the place, wasn't it?
  • the v shop has friendly sales staff
  • 3rd base is the best we've got really if your looking for any decent records in this hell hole! the V shop in the kingsgate ins't too bad, you get the odd decent cd
  • Do not ever try to find a good cd at a good price in "V-Shop" in the kingsgate mall, try "3rd base", a small indipendant shop through the back of the car park next to the post office.
  • Best used to be Muir's in Queen Anne Street - could order anything there or just hang out pretending to know all about progressive rock bands while nodding knowingly as you read the back covers of LPs.
  • The New one in the centre.... "Virgin", very good selection!!
  • Used to be HITZ. Don't know what happened to the guy there!
  • Our Price- a lot of new cds/tapes here, but expensive. Alos, the staff are very crabby, and there are HUGE ques on Saturdays.
  • Best Record Shop is Hitz. Great selection of of music, particularly Dance music. Owned by Andy, managed by Fiona (Well, so she likes to think!) OurPrice - Pants!
  • We have two, Classic Vinyl for sados without a CD player and HITZ an independant record shop with a varied stock.
  • 3rd Base sell a lot of qualit cheap cds. Hitz sell a masssive selection of 12 inch records and lots of white labels.
