Hi, Did you know the Miller's in Priory Lane or indeed in Rolland Street? Their house was next to the little park before they put the road through it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there - don't think I know the Miller's, sorry. However, I will ask my mother the next time I see her. We stayed 'right opposite' the little park you are talking about, so she might well know. I was 7 when I left there - so can't remember too much. Get back to you soon. Regards - Heather

When I was in the United States Navy, 1952/53 my ship visited Rosythe Naval Base. A fellow sailor and I visited Dunfermline and I met a girl by the name of Jean Wilson. I believe she lived with her father who had been in the British Navy in WW-2. Someone mentioned a little park in the town. We were allowed to attend a party of the Home Guard and had a great time. We overstayed our visit and a poli... more >>

Therefore, the name Jean Wilson doesn't 'ring any bells' with me - sorry. Heather

Hello Heather. From your enquiries you must have been in the same class as I was. I went to Blacklaw school from 1952 to 1958 before I went to Australia. I recognise some of the names you gave. I have a class photo of 1954 before you came but it should have faces you could recognise.

    Hello Heather,
It was good to hear from you. I find it hard to remember the names of people at the school as I left so long ago. The photo I have is as a 7 year old in 1954. I came to Australia in 1958 but I remember Nancy very well. There was a new boy from the Orkney islands who arrived and was in my class. Let me know if you see the photos or I can send them to you.

Woah!is it me thats muddled? Katz, G says he`s curious to know who you are, then goes on to say you know his wife. How does he know that if he`s curious to know who you are?? Good luck sorting that lot out then !!

Trax played a blistering set before the Skids went on and when the Skids set was finished the packed hall resounded to a chant of "Trax!, Trax!, Trax!" Hi Kirky - I don't think we are talking about the same Honeyman. I went out with him for a short time when i was about 18 years and my pal went out with him before me. He has a younger brother but he lived in Edinburgh with his mum and i am sure he went to a private school.
I would like to think that it is not true about sleeping rough - if he has turned towards men then fair enough, but I have... more >>

  • Re: Kronk by J (Member 10119382) on 27-Mar-2004
I will most definately know you. We were friends for a good while before I went out with him, which wasn't for long as, I preferred him as a friend, he was good company, always up for a laugh! But did like to dabble - didn't we all in those days eh? Mark Gilchrist got married the other year and is living in New Zealand i think.

  • Re: Kronk by J (Member 10119382) on 27-Mar-2004
Kieran Robertson - Hibby! I know Denise who used to go out with him years ago. The last I heard he went down to london to be a security guard with Ross. I think Ross committed suicide, i think this was a few years ago.

Haven`t looked at this site for a while.Anway, my mum!! still runs the Barley Sheaf,Kieron is not and never has been a hibby and Paul Honeyman jumped out of the window cause his flat mate was giving him grief about the rent, plus he`d been on a bender. That`s what he told me anyway.Haven`t seen him for ages.C`mon, give us your proper names( J & carlos ).Would be good to put a face to those names.

  • Re: Kronk by J (Member 10119382) on 5-Apr-2004
Yes, as I said honeyman jumped out of a window as out his face - didn't know reason behind it. Denise and kieren used to go to Hibby matches as was at college with Denise. Maybe he kept it quiet or maybe Denise was just a Hibby! Have not been to the Barley Sheaf in years so as I said I am not sure if your mum runs the pub or not.
