  When I was in the United States Navy, 1952/53 my ship visited Rosythe Naval Base. A fellow sailor and I visited Dunfermline and I met a girl by the name of Jean Wilson. I believe she lived with her father who had been in the British Navy in WW-2. Someone mentioned a little park in the town. We were allowed to attend a party of the Home Guard and had a great time. We overstayed our visit and a poli
  ceman had to wake up the owner of a livery and we four rode back to the naval base in a hearse. Anyone know of Jean Wilson? She might be in her late 60's by now. Thank you.

  Hello Heather. From your enquiries you must have been in the same class as I was. I went to Blacklaw school from 1952 to 1958 before I went to Australia. I recognise some of the names you gave. I have a class photo of 1954 before you came but it should have faces you could recognise.

  It was good to hear from you. I find it hard to remember the names of people at the school as I left so long ago. The photo I have is as a 7 year old in 1954.   As I said earlier in the year my dad was one of the first intakes @Blacklaw as well and he stayed in the Crescent @the same no. as you were on
  ''the top road''as for other names which went to school with him there was Ricky Lark, Rab King etc. Harry has a memory like a sieve and canni remember whit happened last year niver mind 1950,s so I have to do all my own findings . Hope this helps.

  I can`t remember her sister but she was Jamaican and very dark. I used to dance with her all the time at school and enjoyed her company. I have some photos taken in the fifties at Woodmill rd and a 1954 class photo from Blacklaw school. Is there somewhere to send the photos. I may visit next year so I will post news when we will be there.

  I was looking over my photos and it is hard to remember names. I have some with Bill Brown and George Robinson and there younger brothers taklen at Gala day 1957. I have a school photo of 1954 at Blacklaw School. I remember faces but few names. Jack Sedgewick,Carol Arneil are two I remember. Nancy Wellington is not in the photo but maybe she arrived later. Where can I send them so people can check
  them? I remember picking apples from the trees next to the Hotel and picking potatoes free from just past the hotel. The other names I cannot place but I remember meeting the Mconnell family in Redcliffe Australia a long time ago.They were from Woodmill Crescent.

  Tried the new email address but it did not work. I remember one of my friends at school had a brother who boxed at the Olympics in 1956. They lived near the entrance to the school. He had worked with my father at Valleyfield. I always remember the school concerts we went to at Carnegie hall as kids.

  Hi Katz, had a wee break in sunny spain, yeh i`ve heard the old area`s livening up again, some kids tried to hang someone in the park behind inchkeith. M had a bit of bother there as well from some local druggies and got a "sair wan" outside Mackies. yip, its good to be away from it but i wouldnt have swopped that up bringing, it sure helps you to be street wise.   I used to work for a local band called Trax who supported The Skids regularly. One night at the Ballroom, I would guess about 1979, Trax were supporting The Skids as we had done on many occasions. Trax played a blistering set before the Skids went on and when the Skids set was finished the packed hall resounded to a chant of "Trax!, Trax!, Trax!" Stuart, Ricky, Bill and Tam came off stage and in a
  moment of unbelievable generosity, Stuart told Trax that they had played much better and therefore deserved the encore! Of course Willie, Neill, Derek, Dougie and Tony of Trax agreed that they couldn't possibly do so and The Skids took to the stage. I've never forgotten that incident and thought that others may like to share in my admiration for a trully great man of Dunfermline.

  o yes, happy days.Went to the KRONK and the terraces.Some bloody great times.Can`t remember the name carlos.Spent some great nights at the kronk, went all the time when it was in the toon(Monty`s,Sylvesters,The well).The nights at the well have got to have been some of the best kronk times,i`m sure you agree.Went to banners aswell but you just couldn`t beat the well,

  Still in regular touch with Rob - now doing very well in London, and recently became a faither for the first time ( wee Elliot). See him everytime I'm down there with work. Never changed (which of course is a good thing). Regularly sends me compilation CDS - trying to school me in
  new sounds. Never did get over the fact I introduced him to the Roses etc, and been trying to outdo me ever since (and failing). He's gettin' married this Summer... should be a few old heads at the stag!

  Hey Hey! Ya Bass! Good to see Big Baz MacPherson rattling the keys once again. Bit o' a jet setter then Baz? trips to London and aw that eh!? Lovely wee trip down meemory boulevard with this Kronk banter. My favourtie memory from the Kronk was taking Beasties (sorry Troy Levi Blaize) up on his offer to punch his well toned abs. i did ... and buckled him too. Then he went into Beatie rage mode
  and wanted to batter me! this also happend one New Year's soiree, when a few choice words led to case of Beatieitis hitting me around the back of the head. Halcyon days! The CSS - oh oh! Red Kickers! I'm in London too, sometimes and over the last few years have been enjoying the sporting skills of a Bermondsey based outfit. Most entertaining. Aw the best Baz!

  ve but yes i amm an amputee, have had a couple of girlfriends two long term not had a boyfriend yet so i hope your not offering haha you do sound a right mincer though! but sex aside i still like to go out not come out like to buy nice clothes have a toke though very rarely now and go clubbing once or twice a month gettin on a bit now, you now still follow the jambos and ahve spent a bit time in the nick. still do joinery and am just completing the last module of an HND CAD course at telford so as for being in a bad way things could be worse do have a bit bother with my leg from time to time but manage to visit ma olds regularly over there. hope this clears some shit up for you and the gossipmongers
