• Dunstable has nothing. I know. I was born in this town - 46 years ago - and I am still here. Dunstable has been slowly dying for decades. First it losses A.C. Delco, Vauxhall, then other companies. The council (bastards) tear down the Queensway Hall - I used to go to concerts there, for example Iron Maiden and Hawkwind. I will never forgive the council for that. The only good things about Dunstable are the Downs, the Gilding Club and the towns long history. There was one good thing. The demolition of the Windsock, (anyone remember that building?) My god it was a hideous sight.
• People should stop running down Dunstable. Ok the town centre is pretty rubbish at the moment but we are in the middle of a recession, and being negative doesn't help! It's not all about shops and the rest of the town is fine with some lovely residential areas.
• ok, basically dunstable has nothing that you might actually want, anything we did have is either blocked off by the council or turned into some crappy supermarket or bingo hall. dont come here!! the roads are always packed coz all the people who live here are trying to escape! anything fun, interesting, cultural, classy, useful or generally at all positive cant be found in dunstable. shit hole!!!!

• please, please, please don't go to dunstable. it is a hell hole. i lived there for 18 pathetic yrs. if u have to go to dunstable i am so sorry about it. if u live there escape as soon as u can. there is nothing to do and no reason to go there. just please, i'm begging u, and i can't stress this enough, dont go to dunstable ever. period. full stop.
• dunstable is the biggest town that has no train station in england!

• REM played their first gig in the UK at the Queensway Hall. They still have the poster for the gig in their office in Athens, Georgia.
• Advertisement for Dumpstable... Come to Dunstable you can enjoy all the follow....Traverse the deadly A5, Experience the catching of aesthma in just 1 day, visit the graffiti'd Priory Church, laugh at the sad gits in their shell-suits, allow your dog to be eaten by an untamed downside rotwieller on the downs, go shopping to...boots and....woolworths!!! In fact don't come to Dunstable - run away to a town with a soul as soon as you possibly can!!!!
• Northfields Upper School is the worst place in Dunstable. The teachers are in dispute with the headmaster(50-50 split). Some can't be bothered to turn up to lessons. Treat 6th form like dirt. I wen too Norf-fields n naw i cannt spel?
