- Northolt Village Conservation Area - a few minutes from Northolt Central Line station. Head for 'the clock' on the green. When you walk past the thatched Fullers pub 'The Plough' from the busy A312, head for the other side of the green. It's like going back in time. Several Victorian cottages, the memorial garden, the original village pub 'The Crown'. The beautiful Saxon church and nearby outline of the Manor House. There was originally a Saxon Village here. An undiscovered part of Ealing with low house prices compared to other areas of West London. Also Northolt 'Swimerama' and the incredible man-made hills being constructed for the enlarged Northala Countryside Park by the A40- for completion this year (2007).
- Only fools and horses Estate is actually South Acton Estate
Jan Kincaids of the brand new heavies father was once Headmaster of Ealing Green High school
Carry on Constable filmed on location in Ealing, Manor road, The Avenue, Jacobs Ladder Etc
Carry on teacher film on location at Drayton Green School
Femi of the young disciples went to Ealing Green school
- Generally a nice area, some good pubs and easy access into town i love the canal, can cycle or have a nice walk down there
- multi cultural as anything. Librarys good
- Ealing is the Daddio, Pubs, clubs, gorgeous girls, and of course the living legends from twyford high school, class 2003. Michael K Benson sickest bocat around, and super duggie Andrew Jackson who finished himself on webcam and tries to link girls off the interent. Long life Finnegans 2003, when we were young and mashed every friday.
- Good transport links to get outta here
- my memories
- Jazz Festival
- The Ealing Jazz Festival.
- huh huh huh
- Without a doubt one of the greenest areas in London, beautiful, tranquil park with small animals (inc. peakocks)and play area. Enough to keep you entertained and if not it's an easy journey into central london by tube, train or bus. Ealing studio offers good comedy nights for something a bit different.
- Your friends. If you don't have friends in Ealing, its even more shite than if you do so get on the tube to Soho
- The summer day and the parks
- ealing is just a london bustop town but as far as bustop towns go things could be alot worse
- ealing is just a london bustop town but as far as bustop towns go things could be alot worse
- Waitrose
- Northfields Avenue. An array of gift shops, cafes and useful places. Corner shops that sell everything you could ever need. 24 hour shop near the station is very handy. One of the best and friendliest butchers I've ever been to. Pet shops with Rabbits to pet! People are friendly and there's the lovely park to walk around. Take a trip on the E2 from Ealing Broadway or E3 from Hanwell and stop off and have a fried brekky at Nels cafe half way down the avenue.
- The parks and cafes -great places for meeting up with people.
- SPICY KING! (Indian takeaway - yum)
- the friday night fight.LIVE, wicked, know what i mean!
- The villagy bit with church and pubs and green at Northolt.
The views from Hanger Hill, or Argyle Rd., towards Horsenden Hill.
- nice people - not rugby dullards like richmond and pretty liberal types on whole.
- The reference to Twyford School (not) is libelous. It is the best performing local authority school in the borough.
- nice kinda area until it became infested with townies. nice houses, fairly clean streets and a real atmosphere
- Its easy to get out of on a main line train from Ealing Broadway
- The New Ealing Housing benefit Customer Care Centre in The
Broadway. This is long overdue bright and breezy service for
the less fortunate.
I like to see the huge lines outside all day of up to 300
claiments. It reminds people that there is still unemployment
and that those who are are being cared for.
- Ealing has got everything you could want from a town - once you've lived here you'll never want to live anywhere else.
- The parks, the pubs and Twyford C of E High School (not)
- quiet at night in residential streets
- The quiet leafy streets and parks. The fact it hasn't changed too much since I was a boy (35 years ago)
- quiet fresh air not so central
london 2 mins by thames turbo to paddington
good rail and bus connections all night
- Urban foxes. Parks. Shopping. Many fine curry establishments, and Fuller's pubs.
- Wonderful transport links in to Central London with BR and three different tube lines running into Ealing that makes Central London a 15 minute ride away on the quickest route.
- Ealing Common rules as a place to get pissed in summer (especially in that pub on the corner of it); the Redback Club - full of Aussies and quality music ( usually a live band or two).
- Ealing is supposedly the greenest of the London Boroughs. Certainly my experience (as an Ealing resident) is that everyone is always surprised by how green and leafy they find the streets of Ealing.
- The nursery at Uxbridge Road and Coldershaw in West Ealing.
