Cinemas
- Dereham cinema may be old and small but for a small market town it is great, the local people should support their cinema because if it was gone then where would their children go at the weekend and on the school holidays to give their parents a break. The staff are lovely anf very friendly, so those of you who wish to pay loads and travel to watch a film good ridance to you, there is enough people in Dereham and the surrounding areas who really like the cinema the way it is.
- Hollywood Cinema, but you'll have a better cinema experience if you just go to Norwich
- Hollywood, home of sticky carpets and itchy seats - travel to Cinema City for a totally different experience and take the Chardonnay in to sip, rather than sit next too sniffing about her boyfriend
- Prince William travelled miles to see a film here - Belinda Aldiss must be gutted she missed her finest hour.
- Are you people who say that Dereham cinema is useless and that you prefer to go to Norwich for films, happily spending money on petrol, parking and an increased admission fee, the same people who will complain that "Dereham is s!@# and there's nothing to do here" when said cinema is forced to close because of lack of support? Thought so.
- In recent years Dereham Cinema's most famous claim is that it is good enough for Prince William. Belinda Aldous must be gutted.
- Icemina at the EcoTech Centre in Swaffham. Every Friday night 7.30pm nice friendly cinema in a beautiful building situated behind Waitrose supermarket Swaffham also a Licensed bar.
- Now 4.90 adults & 2.90 kids!!! My telly is almost as big as the screen - I could make a fortune!!
- hollywood cinema :-its ok if you can stand the bass from the pub underneath
- Its a shame the fleapit is no more , that was a place of memories. Havn't been to the new one
- Dereham Hollywood Cinema, nice little quiet place...emphasis on small, probably better to go to Ster Century or somewhere in Norwich.
- Well the cinema here is intersting - Prince William went there don;t you know made huge news in teh papers for like a month. Wouldn't go there, has no student discount and is much better in Norwich
- Hollywood is the cheapest you will ever find, £3 anytime with a goldcard!
- I went there once to see "Star Wars"... fell asleep.
- dereham cinema is a rip off tiny screens and way too expensive, sh#t refreshments
- I never go to dereham cinema, i always go to norwich to see films
- my house is bigger than this place, iv lived in dereham all my life and iv only been there TWICE
- Hollywood Cinema has been done up + has three screens - at the mo, rumoured to be after freak accident with falling bits of building coming into contact with pedestrians, cinema is covered in scaffolding
- We have a three screen cinema called Hollywood cinemas. It has recently been refurbished therefore it seems quite new. It usually receives films a couple of weeks after their preview date.
- the back row is the place to have a snog!!!! and maybe a quickie! all the time i have never ended up watching the film!
- Don't bother hard seats make your bum numb, honest
- Park outside the door for free....don't waste time and effort going to Norwich where you have to pay more to see the same films! Be grateful you have a cinema on your doorstep.
- The old flea pit has gone & been replaced by Holy-wood, 3 screen but two the size of your average living room.
- dereham cinema? hahaha. very poor. dont go there, try norwich
- hollywood. costs £4.60 crap
- One, the odeon - playing some trash, to pile upon the existing misery!
- Just having a cinema is dood for a place like this. After all, where else can you hear the soundtrack to three films all at once. It's fun!
- Hey! Dereham cinema isn't *that* bad! Okay, it isn't the latest in 20 screen multiplexes, but at least a little market town in the middle of Norfolk *has* a cinema! If it wasn't there it would be missed! Speaking as a local who has a young son - Dereham cinema can be a great venue on a wet Sunday afternoon in the middle of Winter!
- Again, just go to Norwich!
- We USED to have a rollerskating rink but that was taken away, oh and the cinema is not worth the £4:50
- There will always be somewhere better than Dereham cinema
- not for £4, or has it gone up?avoid it like the plague!
- Hollywood Cinema - recently rebuilt - 3 screens - small - CHEAPER THAN NORWICH. BOWLERS, a bowling place (surprise, surprise) is near the police station. There is a boxing club on the main car park.
