• Basically, the young people of the town are narrow-minded assholes who get in with a group of friends when they're about 5 and are never going to get out of it. Sad really. Everyone else they look down their noses at because they're not part of the "in-crowd", but in reality they're just fucking weak because if they ever got out of East Kilbride and didn't have their fucking pals they'd be at a loss. One girl I used to work with when I lived there actually said to me, "I wouldn't want to move away because all my friends are here." For Christ's sake, get a fucking life. There's more to the world than East Kilbride and Tenerife. Oh, and the highlight of these people's weeks is Centre Point or Plush. God's sake, get some imagination. And none of them ever move away to go to university - all stay nice and safe at home. Thank fuck I'm one of the few intelligent people to come out of East Kilbride that doesn't associate with these losers.

• EK is a lovely place to grow up.But if you want to do the arts like bieng a musician ,you'll have to move to London or wherever it's at!!! I started in EK and moved to London.Ok I never got THE BIG ONE but my GOD I tried!!! I did 4 albums and several UK tours and I'm still at it now and even reached the dizzy heights of working in Film and TV production.Which I'd never have done had I stayed in EK. Don't be a talker BE A DO er!!
