• good hang out spot is behind the catholic school in the park, opposite the old Bata sweatshop factory,( closed down now thank goodness. ) trouble with east tilbury is the flies, millions of them, they come from the rubbish dumps that the place is built on. was a decent place once, till they built the fairview estate.
• Hook up spot? Is there such a thing here? Only God knows..still..the main..'hook up spot' I guess would have to be the bata hotel..dotted around it are places where young lads and lasses (mainly lads) would hang out and meet eachother..mostly because of extreme boredom. Favorite places here are outside the hotel front..near the supermarket or entrance (with the smashed glass doors usually) to the hotel lobby (if you could call it a lobby). Another place is at the far left end of the hotel, just across the road, where once a line of bottle banks stood (are they still there..jeez I cant remember..such is my interest!)..and the village hall right next to them..thats another place where young good-for-nothings will tend to meet and hang out..well I used to..it was fun..especially throwing mega-power bangers into the bottle banks..was real loud. Well there is one club yeh..behind the hotel, but its *crap*...ah well, maybe the hotel with its foundation problem(?) will toppole over one day onto the club..you never know eh? Maybe theres a gold mine under it.
