Pubs
  • The Martello Pub and the one near langney shopping cnetre
  • the martello
  • Bar Via have live music every Thursday. They have had some class acts playing there such as "Capital", "Purple Bubble", "Captain Mike", "City of ashes", "Rough cut Kings" and "Kamikazi64".
  • bn 21 and the v bar seem to have the freshest faces,
  • All the Pubs in Eastbourne are in much need of trade, so go on a Pub crawl around all the backstreets.
  • dont go out in eastbourne full of illiegal immigrants running the doors
  • The Greenhouse behind Terminus Road has a great atmosphere. The famous Lamb in the Old Town of course is great, & the nearby Tally Ho isn't bad either. Wetherspoons in the town is good for a cheap drink. Drinks are generally quite dear here, especially compared to the prices 'up north' - £2.50 is average for a pint.
  • these pubs rock (in my opinion) nuthouse / chambers / sports tracks / via / la habana / venus / counting house in the summer.
  • Worst pub lunch I ever had at Birling Gap Hotel on Saturday July 3rd. Took nearly half an hour while I waited ,watching a waiter sitting on a bench breathing on spoons and polishing them on his apron, for my cold roast beef and veg to arrive. Mr W's fish and chips was fine. Only too glad I didn't try the crab! Cheap, dirty, dingy, inefficient. Never again.

  • Well sometimes there a nice fellow outside threshers that will buy you bucks fizz if give him a farthing
  • slyvesters wine bar
  • Ok with over 90 licenced places to visit, we have lots of choice, slightly out of town pubs fair better for atmosphere, food etc without getting ripped off! We still have a major problem with our fresh faced eliment, with most places needing glasses or a maths lesson. Music in pubs on Thurs to Sundays just fantasic.
  • Best of at the Lamb again.
  • Must say I like the Dolphin, despite the Grungers, who seem to have a strange inability to take their drink in the way we all know a true townie/rude boy can Troys: £1.65 for a double vodka and red bull. Highly recommended rude boy heaven, god I love that place, can't wait for Easter hols just to cain up more of their offers
  • Pub and club reviews at http://www.eastbourne.co.uk
  • Everyone's got their favourite local. I like The Lamb in Old Town, though god knows why. The Exchange, with a DJ on Fri/Sat is a nice pre-club. On Bolton Road.
  • Eastbourne.co.uk will launch soon with a list of all the major pubs in EAstbourne.
  • So What's wrong with The Dolphinn these days?
  • Most of the pubs in Eastbourne are populated by dribbling townies or dribbling cronies - avoid.
  • The Lamb, in Old Town is the oldest, gets crowded The Wheatsheaf in Willingdon Village does pickled eggs
  • many many pubs so you can drink yourself in to a stupor and forget which town you are in...the best pubs are iin the country, in the centre there is the Townhouse, the Rat and Parrott and The Eagle...
  • The Rat and Parrot, The Tracks and The Dolphin
