I have a garden pond in Upperton area, and its overstocked - I need to give away approx 12 fish - various coloured gold fish and sizes - the collector will have to help in fishing them out - ie draining some of the water out, to catch - Also bring containers etc - Fish are healthy and need to go to a good sized, well maintained pond - for free Reply

I am moving to Eastbourne on Sept 1st 2010 and will be launching an exciting music realted website. I need someone who is willing to work for free (for just an hour or so a day) in a fun and relaxed environment. If that person wants, there could be a job as the business grows. Hi, this is my last hope in trying to find my father, my mother was Wendy Louise Betts she was originally from South Africa and moved to the UK with her mother Win in approx 1949 when she was 9, they lived in a caravan on the outskirts of Eastbourne. She gave birth to me when she was 23 in 1962 and I was put up for adoption and apparently I was fostered for about 6 months by Mr and Mrs Hayward who live in Eastbourne but have no other information. Wendy went back to south africa in august of 1962. I have my birth records which states a Albert (Bert) Pickett was my paternal father but since have been told by letter from him that he is not my father and wishes no contact and he was forced to sign the papers so I could be adopted, do not know whether this is true or not. HI, I’m based in Sussex I also collect records and am completely obsessed with the 60s. I am working on a project of putting together a compilation LP entitled “60s Savages from Sussex and The South C oast”. I’m looking for members of 60s Beat/mod/R&B/Soul and even Psychedelic bands from Sussex and the South Coast area’s during the years 1961 -1967. I’m interested mostly in hearing your stories, seeing pictures and hopefully you may have old acetate demos, (or if you were one of the lucky groups who actually managed to record a 45)... It would be so fantastic if you would contact me and maybe contribute a song or two to my compilation LP project. What got me into wanting to make this LP was when I managed to purchase a copy of Horsham’s The Beat Merchants debut 45 ‘Pretty Face’ on Columbia. It made me think that surely there were other bands from the area that never got as lucky as The Beat Merchants. If you were in a band from the 60s and were based in East or West Sussex please feel free to contact me and reminisce to me about your times in the 60’s. 10 year old Emma has had surgery for Scoliosis and is now campaigning to raise awareness of the condition and for all children in the UK to have the very simple 'bend forward' test to get an early diagnosis of Scoliosis. She has an online petition at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/start-testing-for-scoliosis-in-schools. Emma is aiming for 1000 signatures and currently has just short of 300... I'd like to see this figure go through the roof!!! This is an issue close to my heart as my son was diagnosed with adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis at 16 and had surgery last november when he was aged 18 and a half. Many thanks! I actually live in a village about forty miles from Eastbourne but it's no different. Surely the answer is to get some jobs up north so people will want to stay there where there are houses and infrastructure already in place.
