- I must mention "CHOPPER" Jones who sadly passed away recently, every junior and senior footballer of the eighties will remember this rather rotund referee, who would give any decision your way for the price of a pint. I personally have to thank him for giving a penalty to Eastham Youth Club against Wirral Wanderers in a Birkenhead & Wirral League title decider at Coronation Park 1984. Quite simple really, the opposition were from Birkenhead, two minutes to go the whole of our line shouts in unison, "HANDBALL" with the ball being in the penalty area, the rest is history as they say. R.I.P.
- Not too much on offer here. Paul Usher ex Brookside lived in Bromborough though
- How is is possible that Harold Wilson lived in Mill Park Drive at the same time that he attended Wirral Grammer School? The houses on Mill Park were built in the 1940's to 1950's Mr Wilson attended Grammer in the 1930's. Please explain.
- Sir Harold Wilson lived on Mill Park Drive (remember when he came back for a visit and stopped to wlak around Hatton Ave and Mill Park Drive) - he also went to Wirral Grammar.
- Currently the most famous resident-Fitter - par excellence,Father - non parreill, raconteur fabulosi. Talking about his snooker virtuoso beyond compare. Playing snooker - tres , plus crappi. The man in question---none other than ROBBIE (in off) SCARIBRICK
