- I lived at 44 Elgar Ave from '51 to '66, all that time the back bedroom window had a pane of frosted glass, left there from when it was replaced in the war, wondering if it is still there. other things I recall: the woods at the end of Heygarth Road, just after the school, wingat and Hilary Roads being built, Bridle road whenit still had sections that were a lane, also wondering if more recent developments have left The Heys and Heys Lodge intact.

At times, the serene sounds of the old church bells at St. Mary's can be heard from all around the area.

Theres no prettier sight than a wedding at St Mary's on a summer's Saturday.
