- The Wheatsheaf has a jam night on a monday, all welcome. Its a good laugh and you dont get pressured if you don't want to get up there and make a racket.
- red lion used to be good in the days when tommy coulthard had it, at least the had entertainment on then 3 days a week, and it werent the druggy haven it is now.
- I had the best nights of my life in the old hall, any one know what happened to jimmy and andrea, and tapper, 1990, it was the place to be, people used to come from all over england,
- The Kings Arms caters for the over 25's with an IQ higher than 20. The beer is top notch all the time and the music always subdued except when the prog rock stuff comes out.
- A local band called Restless have played the Central ... that's about it.
