About 7-8 years ago I was working at Sellafield and during this time I was staying in Egremont. I used to drink in the Black Bull and got friendly with Emma who ran the bar and also Kerry who worked and stayed there. Unfortunately I have lost contact with them so I was wondering if anyone knew of there whereabouts as I was hoping to get back in touch with them. Thanks in advance. Reply

Hello. I was born in Brisco Mount in 1955. Parents John and Sally Graham - both deceased now I am sorry to say. I have lots of happy memories of my life in Egremont. I have two brothers ,Douglas and Johnny and three sisters ,Janice ,Cynthia and Mandy. We moved to The Crescent when I was about 5 or 6 and I went to St Bridgets school until we moved away to Leicester in 1965. Does anyone have any information on this family? William Walter Charge Born England married to Ellen Matilda Stallwood. They had four (4) children. Frank, Gilbert Conway, Ernest George and Victor Edward. William and Ellen came to Australia and were living in sydney. William died approx 1939 and Ellen died approx 1940. Frank died 1971. Franks wife Rosamond Isobel (nee BENN) Victor died 1972. V ictors wife Brenda (nee Sunderland) Ernest George died 1967 Any information on parents to William or Ellen would be greatly appreciated. I recognised the name Charge, they're my Mum's cousins. Rosamondal Isabel you mentioned, changed her name to Isabelle Rosamondal. My mum spent a bit of time with her Aunty Belle. My mum has some memory of Belle cutting her hair for cutting some blinds or something, though she doesn't remember doing it. I think Mum mentioned a boy with the last n ame Charge or I might be mixing that up with Tracey, but she definitely mentioned Charge, will ask here tomorrow. Isabelle was my grandfather's sister. My Grandfather was Arthur Kellick Benn, he married Doreen Elizabeth Warner and they had 7 children. My Mum Joan Margaret Moore(nee Benn) is the 5th child. Their are 4 left now, the eldest Arthur William, the 4th child Doreen June and the 6th child John Richard have all passed away. Hi, I am not sure if I have been pinpointed to the right place but i am trying to find some info on my stepfather's mother, her name was/is Greta Edmondson born about March 1909, we think in the Barow-in-furness area of Cumbria/Lancashire, she married a Harold Whittall and they had two children, a boy & a girl, the boy is my stepfather also called Harold, well Greta & Harold divorced when m y stepfather was 4 years old, he & his sister was brought up by their father Harold and an aunt, and they never saw or heard from their mother Greta again, my stepfather is in his 70's now and obviously realises that his mother may no longer be around, but he really would like to try to fill in some of the empty gaps, he wants to know what become of her over the years, she may even have married again, he thinks that she may have moved to the London area, possibly had more children, if anybody can help to fill in some of the missing years of Greta Edomdson for her son, it would be wonderful. Hi, I'm researching my Benn ancestors. My G-G Grandfather William Benn, son of Richard and Margaret(nee Glaister) were born in Egremont. Richard and Margaret married in 1840, William was born approx 1841. They came to Australia in 1854 and there are now quite a lot of descendants out here. Richard Benn was the son of William and Jane Benn also born in Egremont. Margaret Glaister was da ughter of Jacob and Violet(nee Kellick) I've been told my ancestors once owned an inn in Egremont as well. All info appreciated and would love to be contacted by any relatives. I'm going to be in England next March so would like to visit Egremont then, will see what I can arrange.
