  • deans for the crack, townhouse for a late one and vince has guest beers to sample.the hereward across the road if your trying to be flash, the fountain for a nice drop, but very expensive.the west end for good beer and convivial atmosphere.
  • Again, must say the Golf Club... other than that i don't know coz i don't drink!
  • The Cutter, Pure, The Fountain
  • best pub is defo The Town House, espec on a fri and sat nite, as it is now open til 1am. miles trendier than zest and free to get in. often packed, a bit steep on the prices but happy hour before 9pm. more like a bar than a pub now, with pumpin house, trance statrtin off with the oldies. (70s and 80's!)
  • Deans - lots of comfy seats. High FLyer - rough but the ONLY pub in TOWN with seating outside. Minster - far too expensive and dingy. Town House - if ou want to think you are in a mates house with 50 other people.
  • The Minster (has gone down hill since being refurbished) The Town House The High Flyer
  • The Minster (Minster Place) and the High Flyer (Newnham St) are typical, brash, yuppie pubs. The Fountain (Barton Square) is a very friendly real-ale pub with the best beer in Ely. The Town House (Market St) appeals to the younger crowd - if you like your music loud, your conversation loud, and your pizza on the pavement, you'll fit in there.
  • The Prince Albert (AKA 'the wheezy dog') Possibly England's greatest pub.
