• Everyone's either completely chavvy or stuck up; there are very few decent shops; all the yobbos walk in great lines and take up the whole of the path or ride at you on their sub-standard bikes and shout slurs when you don't step off the pavement; there's very little for adolescents to do in Ely though (unless you want to take dance classes or play sports) so it's no wonder; the growing throngs of special snowflakes annoy me the most.
• I come from high barns and believe me its not as rough as any of you say it is. I dont even know why your bothering to write on here, most of you are little chavy wannabe gangsters. do you think anyone from high barns is gonna be scared of you? I dont think so. you think your hard over the internet. but your really not. grow up.

• the usual scallies, sad boy racers even at 20 years old. GET TO A NIGHTCLUB YOU FREEK!! lack of public transport, a bus an hour. expensive taxis.

• Cheap clothe shops, cheap shoe shops, pervy old men and being in the middle of nowhere!

• Fulla posh people who winge about crime when theres non at all! dick eds wingin about High Barns when not one burglar alarm or camera in sight! maybe a few too many gippos but they arnt hurtin anyone and they av the same right as everyone else! expensive drinks in the pubs, about £2.60 a pint of piss and nitelife small. crap shops and takeaways!
• The worst things about Ely are the little dick eds who think its hard and that high barns (HBC WANKERS) is rough!! bring it on you little wannabes, iv u wanna propa fite go up north wiv whoever u want and start a fite. i cant wait to get home to cave all of yor eds in. little gippos who avta fite in gangs ov twenny to win (BRING IT ON!) theres nowt to do ere, expensive drinks, fulla snobs and ugly people. all the lasses wear 1992 style black trousers and the lads were Vans trainers voluntarly. a sad town, that people think is hard. theres no car crime, no CCTV on any estates, no boarded up windows, so when will u gather that you're all a bunch ov stuck up wannabe Londoners mammy boys who av cars when your 17 becoz daddy owns the company.
• PEOPLE WHO FINK HIGH BARNS IS ROUGH, THEY AVNT GORRA CLUE, TRY LIVING IN A PROPA TOWN U LITTLE PIKEY WANNABES!! ARBURY IS NOWT, GO UP NORTH IV U WANNA C VIOLENCE, DRUGS, SHOOTINGS AND MUGGINGS, NOT HIGH BARNS. NO TWOKS, FIGHTS OR BOARDED UP HOUSES SINCE IVE LIVED ERE. U AVNT EVEN GOT CCTV ROUND THERE. U AVNT A CLUE! STICK 2 UR SKATEBOARDS AND BMX'S!!
• The rude boys that sit in waitrose car park every friday night waiting for some one to appear out of pure to attack. Rud'es too many barries. little 7 year olds walking around the city centre looking for some one to pick pocket (talking from experience)
• Aggressive little people
• People that think there's something wrong with HIGH BARNS. And the ponse complaing about car crime going up. I lived in Longside Manchester as a police man and on average 54 cars were stolen each day in the area. The citizens of the rough estates on manchester would give up everything to live in a place like high barns.
• High Barnes and the Wheatsheaf Estate behind where I live another waste of space they should have left the old allotments which were A LOT OF FUN TO PLAY INWHEN WE WERE LITTLE!
• Elys CAR CRIME HAS GONE UP IN THE PAST 3 YEARS AND NOW THE TOWN CENTRE HAS BECOME A BIT MORE DOGEY FOR TOURISTS. kEEP OUT OF THE HIGH BARNS ESTATE
• the granny tourists that come in the summer
