Skateboarding Spots
- or so foot wide at each end, nipple in the middle, curved ledged, 2 slopes type things with a ledge running inbetween. lovely and nibblely and its the best session there with a few friends and a decent system. nice and chilling there with the odd skater here and there.
- carland carpark on a sunday, HUGE and empty and great for beginners learning new stuff.
- Millets is now gone, on top of which used to be a right skate. Skate park is dry, go UGC, now called cineworld, or Tecos.
- Aint no fuckin skatin shops in enfield, try covent garden mate.
- on top of the precints, where the car park is, its really smooth with some bumps to do some land tricks.
- down by bush hill train station there are a couple of high kurbs that u could ollie up but after a while it gets a bit boring.
- down by bush hill park train station it has a some hills and a road called bagshot has some ok curbs along with the dead end rd near it and the roads are smooth but it's a bit busy
- i dont care UCI cinema has the best ground its smooth and u can get geate pop on it there are also sum 3 steps and a set os 3 5 steps wid lil gaps in between.
- The fountain in the town, or else the co-op in freezywater...
- um........the A10 has a skate park which looks pretty good but there doesnt seem to be that much to do. if u wanna grind tesco's car park is good oh and u have a laugh with the trollies as well
- this is dope. good to see it's still runnig....peps have listed most spots but if you like manuals above millets (or where it used to be). a school near the park on A10. ask locals. big up the HAMSTERS and the littlens (now all better than me, can i quit yet).
- There's a roller skate park by the Great Cambridge roundabout where it joins on to the North Circular, but I forget the name of it, and there are some half pipes on the left of the A10 by the tennis courts just before the turning into Church Street - Edmonton/Winchmore Hill. Best bet though is to go to Playstation in London or likewise coz you'll meet better people and there are better skating conditions.
- If Palmer gGreen counts then the Safeway carpark is the Home of the LOVENSKATE CREW and is aboput the best place P.G. has to offer . The staff are cool with us skating there as long as we are respectfull, there are waxed curbs and islands and as long as you put them back after you can use the bread crates. We all build stuff like fly offs and grindy stuff and someone is there skating most weekday evenings and sundays. Come down!!!
- The new skatepark has been built, by the A10/Church Street junction. It's quite badly designed and built.. some of the ramp material has started to warp.. however, the mini-ramp is ridable enough. The park surface is tarmac, so it's a bit soft in the summer.. on the whole, it's a mess, but it is something..
- christ church, a nice drop and some speed humps to enjoy, town fountain, some nice grindy blocks, tescos curb islands and a fat expanse, theyre pretty safe about skating, and also the retail park is cool again cos as no-ones been there for so long security no longer patrol there.Or UGC nice blocks slope and surface
- secret mini and vert ramp hidden in enfield, as its sposed to be secret i cant exactly say where it is as i dont wanna be outcasted from the selected few, but if you know where 'flash lane' is then youll be heading in the right direction. p.s i didnt tell you though.
- Enfield's first skatepark to open on A10 tennis courts by 28/03/2002 (theoretically). If not, go back to the Civic Centre car park.
- Tower point has an 8 step and rails ,last time i was there we skated ramps in the underground car park. Marks and Sparks benches are sheltered and on smooth flat land. Carland is sometimes populated by skaters but beware, you might have to put up with dirty looks from some of the better skaters until you prove you're NOT a wannabe. Dont get me wrong though. Most of them are real cool and easy to get on with. Civic centre has benches and a long stretch of half decent flat ground. Good to start learning on but if its still the same then you'll have to put up with a mob of kids that hang out there. Town park paddling pool is alright but skating there winds up the park wardens. Generally thought the skaters there are very cool. Enfield Town train station has ridiculously smooth ground as well as a long ramp with a low kerb either side and loads of benches. Tesco's carpark isnt too bad for flat land tricks, has a small three step, lots of kerbs and a waxed up bench.
Budgens carpark on windmill hill is ok if you make something of it and it does have a bank worth looking at. Chace school is an OK skate during the holidays when no one is there. as long as you make the most of the picnic tables and other bits lying around. The new cinema has some potential but not much. Most places are only any good if you do something with it. Enfield is a shithole with shit places to skate. Just try and make the most of it.
- edmonton green market place on sunday,if your looking for a place to skate go here, there r loads of leftover craters and things to grind and jump plus ive never been chucked out.
- Does Palmers Green count as Enfield? There's a spot outside offices (Romeike and Curtice) right next to the well-known Mc take-away. It's a car park, but there's all sorts of features. Sometimes a little Indian geezer with a beard chases us off, but mostly ok.
- There is a place to skate in just past waltham X, the youth centure opposite Wicks (a white building with pictures on the walls). It is open every wednesday at 7.30pm and has a small half-pipe, a couple of ramps, a quater-pipe and grined-boxes(with rails). Its £1 to get in, but the first times free. YOU CANT GO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!
- There are plans for a skatepark in Enfield, its in the design stages at the moment, but might be in use ready for the summer holidays. It will be situated on the Church Street tennis courts. It will facilitate for skateboarders, roller bladers and BMX bikers,so come down and check it out.
- new spot built! A super cool set of 3 and 4 steps outside the entrance of the Enfield Baptist church (opposite the town park). it owns me.
- Grangepark station carpark its in winchmore hill theres this ramp made out of wood go there on a hot day you can hit some big air. Also there a masive hill which is good to manul down.Usually there a cars in the carpark grind on them if you want. There is also louds of steps for ollieing.
- BEWARE the BIGMOMMA security guard at the Southbury Road cinema. After 10
seconds skating he was there with his huge body mass telling us to fuck off.
He offered us pain, but we declined. If you encounter this dick, tell him to
piss back to Harlem or wherever it is he thinks he's from.
- Believe me when I tell you Enfield is the most distressing place to skate on Earth.Skate the set of 8 outside tower point in the town although the run up and landing is slightly sketchy.Car Land is now a no-go (security), although it was crap in the first place. The new cinema looks OK... steps, ledges etc but it's likely to be populated by the 'wannabe skater' townies who live at the Civic.
- The council are planning to build a concrete skatepark by the A10. Watch this space =) /w
- Loads of skaters seem to hang about in this car park near to the Town Park?
- sweeet: civic centre, behind kfc, retail park marks and sparks benches
- Civic centre underground carpark is now a no-go for skaters. They've hired security for 1month especially to keep us out - I got thrown out after about 4 seconds. Its ridiculous - the only all weather spot is now dead.
The only other spot is down on the Cambridge road - in the retail park. The people at Carland are cool - the surface is ok - and they even let us use their power supply to hook up a stereo. As far as obstacles and stuff - its pretty lame - a few curbs and a mingy bunch of steps by Toys R Us. I hate Enfield.
- The civic centre at night if there is a bunch of skaters there
the town park has a paddling pool
Lea valley school has 3 sets of 3 stairs about 2 metres apart if you dare to ollie them consecutively.
- Bullsmoor school is alright its got 3 sets of 3 stairs all in a row ,i can olly down 2 sets then cant really get in to the ollie position fast enough to do the third. Its got a few waxed ledges tho gring on,,if you can build up speed.Afew slopes and shit do some some massive kickflips and ollies. Some walls about 3 foot high that you can go along if you can ollie that high.Generally it aint that bad.Sometimes i skate in the town park paddling pool pretty nifty apparatus but i get harassed by some fat bald guy with a rake.Enfield town is good but beware of cops and townies who hate u because u do better tricks than they can.
or alternatievly smack em with your deck and start burning some speed.
Oh yeah also there is a spot at aspen way its shit but stilll go there .Because if you skate for long enough this hairy greek guy with a rottweiler comes out shoutin swear words.
- Main park
- Benches, good street spot, some under covernear shop called "Pearsons" - butas this is a patrolled shopping precinct it might not be such a good idea. Met's mini-ramp nearby, with extensions. Skate the steps and hand-rails outside the Police Station???!!!!
- Town park blocks. Church near Enfield Town has 3 steps and round the corner are 8 easy steps. I can olly them! On the 329 bus route is a library with slidy block. Also a drop and tiny gap. Enfield is shit for everything!!!!
