St Peters Comprehensive 60th Birthday Celebrations by Andrea Oxley (Member 10036045) on 23-Sep-2001
The tickets for this very special occasion are on sale now from the school £5 each. This includes 2 live bands one of which is The Beer Pigs and a buffet, there's also a bar but you've got to pay for that! That's the 6th October (unfortunately the same night England play Greece) 8pm - 11pm in the sports hall.

I went to St Peters junior school as well as the senior school. I was only there for two years having Stella Brown as my form teacher and left on passing a 13+ exam for Eston Grammar School. Also my two sisters Theresa and Joan went there. My Auntie Pat actually taught there and now lives in New Jersey with her husband John who also went there. The Headmaster in my time was Mr Skillen ("Baldy Bill... more >>

I know it is a couple of years late but I have just recently come across this website, regarding a message that was sent by Christopher David Sandrawich a couple of years ago, I would like to jog a few peoples memories by saying that the late ALAN SANDRAWICH also went to St Peters School
refer to photograph on St peters website and you will see a picture of him in 1956 football team!!!

Pauline, Your message is some 18 months old, hope you are still active here. My gt grandfather was a Samuel Riseborough. I have a fair bit of information but havent actively sought this side of the tree yet.

    Hi Philip,
I think your Riseboroughs and mine are related somewhere down the line, my samuel was my grandfather John's brother they were born in Oulton Norfolk, Samuel became an Eston miner.
    Pauline.

  • Re: Riseborough's by Jams Maxlow (Member 10290285) on 6-Dec-2013
Hi Pauline, while I am no relative of yours my great grandfather (James Muxlow) and grandfather (Edward Muxlow) were also ironstone workers at Eston during the 1870s to early 1900s. James and his family lived at 50 California Road Eston, and Edward was born there. No doubt they worked with your great grandfather and Edward may have grown up with your relatives. Cheers, James (now from Australia)
