  • Alan Ramage one of the greatest men that lives used to live in eversham with his beautiful family. They have hopefully moved on to bigger and better things with there millions!!
  • Jim Calaldi ~ Drummer, vocalist, songwriter of 'Traffic' fame was born and brought up in EVESHAM. Luther Grosvenor ~ guitarist with 'Art', 'Spooky Tooth', 'Mott The Hoople', 'Stealers Wheel' was born and brought up in Evesham.
  • Prince Henry's. They still think they're a grammar school. Never mind - your just a non selective community comprehensive now ... even though you have told schools your a public school! ha you lot boarding - that will fill the local primary schools!
  • Guy Whittingham (ex Villa, Wolves, Pompey Striker) thats it!!!

  • alister mcgaown (which i cant spell, the one who does that impressions and that credit card ad now i think) use 2 live in sham
  • alistar macgowan....o and gary lucy (used to be in hollyoaks) opened amber a few months back. yep thats about it....well we have a few local bands who are pretty awesome....watch this space
  • The hillarious Alistar McGowen. About as funny as getting a dose of the clap.
  • Couple of murders - long lartin nearby! Lock up your kiddies!
  • John Nettles!!!(the guy frm midsomer murders)
  • Alister Magowan the famous impressionist is from Evesham
  • Some goon called PJ Probee or summut like that lived along kings road, he had to move out though cos he got rumbled, now he lives just off the braodway road section of the bypass; no-one knows that yet though (oops.)
  • Alistair McGowan.Proving Evesham is a hotbed for comedy talent.
  • PJ Proby, he of trouser splits. One of the record shops in the town is HQ to his fan club, which now boasts 50-60 members.
  • Alistair McGowan - grew up here and regulary visits his folks. G'friend saw him at train station.
  • The maternal relatives (Suffield) of J.R.R. Tolkien, author of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" (the latter adapted into three movies, the first of which will open 19 Dec. 2001) were from Evesham.
  • I once saw Sharron Davies going through the McDonalds Drive Thru
  • Guy Whittingham, Ex Aston Villa Striker used to live on Cheltenham Road and his parents still do. Phil Turner as well.
  • Talking of the group Traffic, one person you havnt mentioned is Dave, I think you'll find him running The Dolphin Pub in Bishampton, and if Im not mistaken,some sunday nights they have a bit of a musical session with some of the old boys? it's quite good Im told
  • Alan Ramage ex Middlesborough footballer and Yokshire cricketer.He has a bit of a big mouth and rumours are that he's up to no good.
  • John Nettles lives near Bidford, but that's not Evesham, is it.
  • Okay cast your minds back to the group Traffic, Stevie Winwood was the lead singer and I think came from Worcester. However, Jim Capaldi, the drummer did come from Evesham. Can't think of anyone else famous who lived there, but then I left many moons ago. Still brings back some happy memories.
  • Lady Godiva thought to be buried here. Simon de Montfort lost it at the Battle of Evesham
  • Toyah Wilcox's family used to stay in Pershore in the holidays (many years ago) and my mum went out with her brother briefly one summer. Alister Macgowen (the man that does peoples voices on the telly) came from Evesham and went to Evesham High School, worst school. Prince Henry's rocks.
  • Toyah Wilcox has bought her parents a place in Pershore MICHELLE KIMBERLEY deserves a mention, She is kind of famous - has been on Gladiators!!
  • Barbara Knox aka Rita form Corrie owns a house near by and so does Jim Macdonald. Babaara Cartland was born in nearby Pershore and Mark Twain's family still live in the Evesham area.
  • Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden fame used to drink in the Royal Oak on occasion.
