  • theres a few down by the quayside, dont no what there called though so cant be very interesting
  • Fore Street is becoming a bit of a craft centre with the Mosaic Shop, Make Art (for actually making cool stuff in the shop) and Bunyip Beads & Buttons in McCoys Arcade. Well worth a look.
  • Electric Gypsy on Fore Street has funky retro stuff, plus there's a Goth clothes shop on Fore Street, and of course The Real Mccoy, with loads from classic 20's to modern stuff.
  • great bead shop in real mccoy arcade at bottom of fore street
  • spacex gallery on preston street (round the back of fore st) is exeters only real contemporary art gallery. graffiti art canvasses at milk, 122 fore street
  • Phoenix, off Gandy Street: have exebitions and other stuff.
  • There is an art gallery in the museum, but its quite dissapointing. There are some craft shops on the quay, but they all sell exactly the same things you can buy in a department store for less.
  • the museum is free and a good time waster if you have nothing else to do as is the cathedral.
  • the muesum, especialy the giraffeey tha forms the main centre piece in the central hall. The histoy exibition that records exeter from roman times.the shorp inthe muesum that has great post cards of exeter at reasonable prices.
  • place off gandy st. with original 'turtles' comic strips! cowabunga, dude
  • Strangely enough Remainders is good and cheap. McCoys is cool too.
  • Phoenix
  • I too adore the giraffe. I believe he is named Jeremy.
  • well this doesn't really count...but i for one am always impressed with the giraffe in the museum
  • All sorts! Art centre on Gandy street, Museum which holds alternative events is on Queen St. There seem to be loads of expensive pottery shops aswell, gorgeous stuff in Laura Keeley, top of Iron Bridge.
  • great new shop off Fore St Kitch U Like excellent!
  • Arts Centre is fab. Great exhibits, good food, lots of activities, and a place to meet folks. King Albert Museum has a great shop, like all the rest on Gandy Street.
  • The museum on Queen St is better for arty stuffthan you might think - has a crafty kind of shop and I once saw some Native American folk carving a massive totem pole and singing and stuff. Well, I thought it was cool, anyway.
  • Great new place opened in The Cathedral Square, cafe and art gallery different and exciting. also there is the mueseum in Queen st and the maritime mueseum on the quay which also displays the costumes from the Titanic film.
  • Few good graf spots. Some local writers. Good train lines.
  • Exeter has lots of traditional craft and art shops - its culture is is definitely something to be proud of.
