- the best night in exeter you can have starts at about 6pm in the longbroke, then you make your way to the kings just 100m away, then if you feel you can take another before the serious drinking in town visit ether the royal oak or the queen vic. then make your way into town up fore street the mint should be your next port of call for a quick one then into metzos for a sit in the comfortable seats. accross the road from there you must go to the walkabout then up to hogshead (depending on the q's). from here if there are any of you left still up for drinking head up to the terks head then the ship inn and finally Hole in the wall which is right next to timepeace. and you should all be pritty fucked and had a good but maybe expencive night.

Where I go, we've started some web-pages on the Express & Echo Beehive site - http://beehive.thisisexeter.co.uk/stjameschurch
Not rocket science, but we have to start somewhere.
- the only town in the country where males have to qualify to get into clubs:under 1 of 3 categories; ugly, spoken for, or gay.
- Exeter is built on the site of an ancient volcano.
- A very scenic part of the country but not a good place to chooses for a stag night (fortunately, we didn't). It was absolutely dead on a Friday night. When we asked where we could find a decent club, "Torquay" was the response. The Town House (Turks Head) seemed to be the most happening place in town.
- Fairly hassle free. Some of the town's beer lads are ex-skaters, so it's not too gnarly. Not too far to Cornwall. Everyone likes to travel. Pretty friendly locals. Not enough independant/ alternative shops and stuff. Nowhere indoors to skate.
- Welcome to Exeter!! Here are some things I think you will like to read about Exeter. I have lived there for 20 years and now I have moved to Denmark I miss the place tremendously!! It's a friendly lovely little 'old' city, full of history and things to explore. I hope if you ever get to visit you have as much fun visiting as I did living there!
