Skateboarding Spots
- maratime car park, brilliant big waxed curb and docks train station car park . manual pads . FUN!
- Maratime Car Park but there are always teenagers there
- as someone mentioned before shits and assholes 4sets, docks, dont forget the little bank on arwenak avenue. theres a little raised curb thing opposite the diving shop and in the new museum car park. tragos carpark isnt what it used to be but theres stil the drop from the sea scouts roof. The moor is a good place especially when youre drunk, its just the dodgy surface isnt very poppy. quarry is a good carpark also with rails etc stashed in the corner. kings head handrail is a bit of a gnar one. also the road at the end of woodlane (maybe swanvale) has a 3, a 3 and then a massive 7 at the bottom (deacon did it drunk in the rain and dan cook ollied from the 3 set over the wall onto the road) a bit of a shutdown spot. we sometimes used to skate a small road gap on the road opposite the chemist at the top of killagrew street. hardcore drop-in at the bottom of trelawny road, hard to stop yourself going into the main road at the bottom as well. Argos when its damp also iceland carpark. watch out for the tramps. also the actual train station but not when its pouring. At the docks also check out the back of ocean bowl. the sometimes have piles of different types of wood. good for flatbanks.etc. angry owners though. 6 set wooden handrail in st micheals hotel. gyllingvase carpark has a fun little gap but surface is a bit shitty. still one or 2 spots left in tregoniggy. also st marys and st francis schools along bickland water road. dont really know boslowick area too well but there is a bank between 2 road though ive never skated it. penryn school has a few good sets and tennis courts etc. but talking about penryn its all about tremough really. go there quick becasue there are loads of new halls being built that probably mean tighter security. in the summer though it has to rate as one of the best natural spot in england. 3 perfect height benches down perfectly smooth gentle slope to smooth flat to 7 set with handrail. check leo and jody on reaction or rough ground or if you can, joe platts video. thats all i can think of at the moment but basically as with most places there arent that many areas with loads of stuff. just one obstacle here, one there. theres always the skatepark but 1)its a bit sketch with townies and 2)its badly laid out, cramped and NOT STREET! Just cruise on a dry day with your mates around every single road you can find. your sure to enjoy yourself. Also falmouth did used to have 2 fucking great spots that got destroyed. 1: kimberley park. from 98 summer to 2001 summer that was the place to be until may 2002. dont think that ive ever been to somewhere not designed for skating that fits it so well. also 2: the meat factory. it was only skated for about 2 years tops, but its was definately garunteed that you wouldnt get busted. props to matt homage perham for the ramps and stuf that were always left out and never got nicked. also good for runs. its in the same videos as tremough. looks like a factory without a building there. anyway skating has definately slowed down recently and homage is dead and mounthawke is too far away. but the skatepark very loacals are getting pretty good. hope it turns out alright. RIP Kimberley. Stund forever. peace
- local park - meatl ramps not bad though, bit squashed. Train station at docks - good manual opads and curbs. The Moor has knee height metal coped edges on long flat and curved nenches. Argos 3 set hahahaha. Tuke House car park nice and smooth with dodgy gap. Plyaing place has weird bank like things, car journey out of Falmouth.
- Trainstation is a good warm up spot, manual curbs and sometims there is a rail stashed nearby. Up by the ships and castles swimming baths there are four sets of four steps, smooth run up and smooth landing, just the first set and second set are closer together than you expect. Next to woolworths there is a tight set of five, good run up and landing, just tight. Outside the uni just out of town centre there is a set of 4/5 with small run up, good fun though. At the top of jacobs ladder there is a set of seven with a long run up and a rail, but a bit of a shit landing. On the beacon estate and pretty much all over falmouth the kerbs are a hell of a lot higher than the road, over a metre in most places, find a good spot with smooth concrete and no cars parked in the way, your made. By the church in the centre of town there is another seven with a handrail, its a bit gash but pullable. Theres the outdoor park on Draceana Avenue, easy to find, next to macdonalds. Got a mini, driveway, spine, its meatl, but not slippery of gash, good park. From town if you walk towards the greenbank hotel, just past the Star and Garter pub on the otherside of the road youll find a low wall with a nice drop, downhill run up and smooth landing, no one seems to skate it but ist the shit. If you go down the steps opposite the wall there is a little(ish) wall to do tricks off, just watch the locals, they hate it. Theres a really low, but hell long set op steps and after that there is more steps. Good luck with them. The moor is ok with metal edges benches, but they aint really that low. be sure you can ollie. Hope i help (Wainy2433@hotmail.com)
