You can tell us more about Fareham.

The Best Things
  • No 6 in the UK as the best place to raise Kids
  • so many shops to choose from!!
  • It has excellent rail links to London, So'ton, Portsmouth. Get in and get straight out again
  • there arent any
  • friendly place with loads of new shops and cafes on the way
  • New town center is going to kick ass.... cinema in fareham WOOOHOO
  • Fareham harbour and the creek at high tide, and a stroll in the park.
  • the fact that everyone who leaves, always comes back
  • close to sea., close to london, close to two massive cities of interest
  • The ppl, mostly grunga's sum decent townies
  • A nice walk - close to the centre, but off the beaten track, is at Fort Fareham. It.s only about 1 kilometre and runs in a circle in the woods. It's a proper gravel path and can be accessed on the right hand side of the entrance o Fotrt Fareham Ind Estate (opposite First Saxon on Newgate Lane). Very attractive walk but not well known about - still it keeps it good for those that know about it!
  • Don't know who condemned the modern art sculptures, in West Street, as bits of iron, but I find them appealing, different, and unique to our town. Those 'bits of iron' also represent some local history, namely, Henry Cort - who revolutionised the use of wrought and cast iron. Far from impaling children, which to my knowledge hasn't actually occured, the modern art sculptures provide a useful and interesting learning tool for young school children. Worth every penny!
  • I must speak up for one of the 'Iron Monstrosities' in West Street - the water sculpture is absolutely lovely, although what they were doing siting it in the windiest part of an already windy location, I will never know. I keep getting soaked when admiring it.
  • skating into bladers and pedestrians
  • Farehams what you make it,You have enough oppertunity with shops, pubs, clubs and cafes.
  • They are about to tear down the centre of town and completely rebuild it.
  • If anyone thinks Fareham is a shithole, then they haven't seen jack. For those who think farehams dead, its a small town surrounded by two bigger cities - what the hell do you expect?
