The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else in Fareham, Hampshire*

The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
  • Best of both worlds, stunning hampshire Contryside on your doorstep, two amjor shopping centres close by plus a O
  • Fareham is a sad sad place full of puffy sailors
  • Members of the now defunct yet still highly-influential (at least on a local scale) late 90s student-rock group 'Northern Roadkill' have been spotted, but these are mostly unsubstantiated urban myths of a sort best left to the National Observer and the NME.
  • Beanies Health food in the High Street stocks loads of organic goodies and can also arrange for organic veggies to be delivered either to your house or to the shop - and they are really helpful in there.
  • The best thing in Fareham is the football club "FAREHAM TOWN" and the worst thing is it is a shit hole and I live there. F.T.F.C "STAYING UP" PHIL SIMKINS RED AND BLACK ARMY. But, wait, here's more news: "Phil Simpkins the manager of Fareham has been sacked as FTFC manager!!!"
  • Fareham is shit hole but there is plenty places to park your car. Fareham is one big car park, visit their better neighbours Gosport, for better beer, better bigs and a proper size cinema screen.
  • There are plans in the offing to add a tram link between Fareham and Portsmouth via Gosport. And as for transport links, Fareham railway station has good services to London (Victoria), Cardiff, Gatwick Airport, and, by changing trains at Winchester, connections to the north of England.
  • The Bus station is busy but cold and dreary and very windy. It has some handy toilets athough the ones next to the new court house are handier for criminal types and police persons! The best thing in the town is the Westbury Manor Museum, which is free and warm and interesting. The worst thing about the town is that there is not much to do in the evening apart from the pubs.
  • There is nothing to do in Fareham at all... I am moving in March and can't wait. For the best times in Fareham look elsewhere. Portsmouth is great, especially in summer, with festivals like the Heineken festival... and don't forget the Wine Vaults.
