Still, it's easy to slag off, it's the refuge of the unenlightened. Gosport's done well I suppose. Now the people responsible for the development of that should get an award, if I ever did go back south, I'd live there.
I see High Temp's a housing estate now, I worked there in 81-2. Doubtless no one will remeber me. i had a series 1 lambretta WHO 815 & my nickname was 'what' on the account of that was my answer to everyhting. Steve Jones & Simon Hartfield were me mates (yes I had mates)! I got the sack cos I was bone idle, still am.
Price's Collge has faired no better, that's a posh estate as well. I went there in 80-1 with Simon Hartfield & Adrian Blake. I remember Simon Targett was gonna give me a beating in the bogs till I told him I knew him from cadets & that I had a lambretta. He thought I was a greaser cos I let me hair grow ! It's all grown out now & converted to fat & migrated to me stomach.
I remember the college disco's well as I never pulled a bird. never knew why I went really. Good mod punk disco though as I remember, someone always went home with a bloody nose or a black eye & fat lip !
What's the youth club doing now ? Used to go on mod night on me series 1. I remember the pompey scooter boys came over & we had a tear up with em !!! That was a fucking blood bath & a half !!! It was like a re-enactment of the somme ! To cap it all I had to use a piece of chewing gum paper to start me lambretta. I reckon the fareham scooter club only ever invited me on my scooter to see what would come off, I swear the fucker's took bets. The rider behind me had to be good at slalem !
I see Bishopsfield's changed, can't get under the library now or do a circular round the ROSLA block. I bet the H block ain't called that anymore. That was stigmatized by the hunger strikes in Belfast when I was there. And now that Britain's crap at international sports, the bloody arseholes have built houses on the fields. A good bit of foward thinking there ! I don't suppose anyone will remeber me at Bishopsfield, I was the quiet one with the loud vioce cos I'm deaf in one ear. I was there 75-80. What's happened to the Bish website ? Can anyone tell me where Adrian Blake's gone ? And is there anybody from Stoke living in Fareham now ?

Hi there, I'm trying to find a girl I used to live across the road from in Crawford Drive Fareham Hampshire circa 1972/3. I lived at 9 Crawford Drive with my mother and having spoken to neighbours who have lived at the same house next door since that time Karen's surname according to them might have been Lang or Lange (don't know the spelling. I have recently moved back to this area having lived all over the place and just visited the old house and school (Uplands Primary) today for the first time in 36 years and thought I might try and find this girl as she was one of my first friends, I believe she might have had a brother who I think was older but I'm a bit hazy on that and I don't know his name. Got sick of the whole thing, many bad memories awakened etc. The continued existance of that website was an insult to every poor sod who had ever had a hard time there. Some names come to mind like Linda Eggelstone, Micheal Almond, Bluebell Tunnel playing in the tunnel and ther wood with derelict cottage.
