You can tell us more about Farnborough.

Skateboarding Spots
  • Farnborough town, amazing skateboard place!
  • The skate park... where all the BMXers are.
  • Farnborough Skate park is rubbish
  • Fanrborough Skate Park
  • i for the last ten years have been digging a cave outside ford and i have made it into the best sk8park in the world but ur not invited so go back to ur cardbored box.
  • There's a brilliant, if sometimes pretty busy skatepark just outside the Farnborough rec. Best to avoid it on Friday and Saturday nights if you don't want drunk skaters staggering everywhere, though!
  • the dutch blocks outside abby national, u.g, shit spot- ghetto ramps and gaps rumoured to be near dump, st peters school 5 set, tomnocks banks, o and the skatepark but two local minatores live there, keep ur distance, no names, they shall remain known as oinky and steed, just kiddin, budd and darren..
  • There is a full pipe outside of the rec and there are ledges opposite the library and are amazing to grind!
  • Farnborough Skate park, the 8 set...no...wait the lousy council put a bloody rail down the middle of it!SMART! Er..so yer theres always the stone things nr iceland
  • Skaters are not refered to as townies, just thort ide let ya know. :P Skaters are not really called n e thing but skaters..strangley enough...
  • There is now a nice skate park
  • we need grind rails!
  • rec bank
  • skatepark,dutch blocks for lokes.
  • Not a bad park. Floodlight at least. Full of Bladders and cretins though...2 minis (small and large) flat bank leading to driveway with hip (it's nice and big) with grind boxes down the side, leading to quarter with flat bank next to it leading to big spine leading back to another quarter. Over in one corner it a small hipped flatbank with run up from small quarters and larger quarter.. In between mini ramps is another flat bank (I thin that's about it...) Of course there's that token kid on a BMX who just rolls around trying to be obnoxious and oblivious as possible, waiting for you to drop in then riding right in your way....I think the council employs these kids just to piss us off.......there's always one at any park you ever go to, I'll put money on it...
  • local park outside the rec is pretty cool, but sometimes too small and full of people who just want to hang on the scene rather than skate, try the council carparks for some real ramps and rails
  • 14 stair hubba, off the nose, off the noooooooooosssseeeeeeee
  • Farnborough Skatepark is complete and home to two miniramps, a street spine, hipped driveway grindbox and '50p' hip, plus several flatbanks and quarters. Floodlit every night til 10 or 11, and free to skate.
  • I can remember some mid-90s scrapes with the rozzers in Asda car park.
  • Town centre by iceland
  • the b & q gap near the tunnel look for the bush, the black drop opposite the entrance to b & q or emi industries. the 8 set is no more !! the debenhams drop is good opposite the multi storey entrance. the blocks and ug. and the skatepark soon!
  • UG, Dutch Blocks etc.
  • The Blocks and the UG are where its at most of the time. By July 2002 the skatepark should be up and running. For more information contact Simon Venn at Rushmoore Borough Council, or any of the fboro massive.
  • Skatepark update... Thanks to the ever growing support of the Fboro Massive (what a lovely bunch of fellows) the long overdue skatepark should be up and running by may/june 2002. The Massive have been working closely with the council to design a park suitable for anyone (yes even pesky bladers) and is currently being discussed. Lick your lips people, its gonna be good.
  • The council eight are quite lengendary, fuck knows why. Probably because they are dirt and if you fall off you will cane yourself. Only bart and bert have flipped them, well done. I remember there used to be a rail going down them, but because a blader broke his leg on it they removed it. Selesian college has some stairs which are okay. Soon to build a skatepark, due to be finished by april 2002.
  • Don't hold your breath for the new skate park. I remember the council promising us a new one back in the seventies, and instead they removed first the two ramps, then the half pipe, then got shirty if we skated ANYWHERE in the town ... Been there, done that, and the t-shirt is so old it's worn out - a bit like me!
  • right.... the ghetto in aldershot is the local park. we have three marble blocks about 2ft high 4ft wide 6ft long, we have a double set of 2-3 an 8set with rails, free standing rails a load of ledges(not grindable)but you can ollie on trick off and stuff, the worlds slidyest bench its plastic, asda carpark has manual pads and huge and small carpark gap/drops you can see the rest at www.fboromassive.homestead.com
  • Injure pedestrians down at Farnborough Rec.
  • Train Station, car park to car park drop over a white rail(1 foot) DOOM!
  • The Abbey blocks have been skated since the late 70s and still are today, come down for a laugh and we'll show you the sights. Asda has a couple of good, big drops and walls, and there are various other smaller spots around. Just ask around for 'the fboro massive' and we'll be more than happy to show you them. The underground is an ideal place for the kids to learn. Plenty of flat ground and waxed kerbs, and no hassle, skate there after 5.30 though, but the lights do go out at 8.00 sharp. AND... in other news... Farnborough is to become the proud owner of a brand spanking new park by early 2001! The council have shown the locals plans and it seems to be coming together nicely. Quarters at each end, flat bank on one side with a driveway and either a spine or jump box in the center, good stuff.
  • Skating places outside pizza hut and abbey national and also in the new(ish) multi storey car park
  • Home of the legendary Farnborough half-pipe for much of the eighties, but now something of a ghost town.
