Favourite Building in Felixstowe, Suffolk*
Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...
You can tell us more about Felixstowe.
Favourite Building
- Harlot
- fmg
- landguard fort
- Probably the Library - its not fantastic but its the best I can think of.
- the white house on the corner of bent hill
- Homebase
- This has to be Orwell House, the nexus of Felixstowe's shipping clerk community. Home to so academic failures and shattered dreams.
- the white house at the top of bent hill
- The Blus Cross Animal Adoption centre
- pier why let it go used to play there........ fix it please.....
- Ummm.. to be honest, Felixstowe has no stunning architectural merits. Harvest House, which was a big hotel at the beginning of the 20th Century, is quite nice I suppose, if you like buildings.
- Palace Bingo Club
- The Pier!!!!! SAVE THE PIER.
- Palace Bingo Club - Cheap booze and cheap chicks
- Any pub.....Always some nutter in it. Like Duggy Bell. Mad as a coot I tell ya!!
- harvest house, formerly the felixstowe hotel, huge victorian building with balcanys on to putting green, clock and bell tower.
- Harvest House on the Cliff Tops is cool ! - my view anyway !
- The Routemaster for it's high quality sixties architecture.
- Not really a building, but that concrete tube in Coronation Park, how many people snogged in there, and then how many people pee-ed in there?
- South Beach Mansion. Built 1865. Empress of Germany stayed there in 1891. Long before my time! Recently renovated. Too many Victorian/ Edwardian buildings demolished courtesy district authority.
- No more favourite buildings left! They've already been demolished! Why did they knock down the Pier Pavilion, The Cavendish Hotel, the beautiful fruit and veg. shop in Hamilton Road with huge engraved windows, and of course the best of them all the railway station - with that beautiful massive engraved window on the front of The Withing Hour!
- Must be the old Fisons building or Cliff House.
- Languard Fort
- Cordy's Alexandra Restaurant where I spent formative years in the early 80s as a waiter.
- The library - it's the dogs bollocks
