Record Shops in Felixstowe, Suffolk*
The places where you buy your music
You can tell us more about Felixstowe.
Record Shops
- There Is Like None apart frm Whsmiths,Tescos N Woolworths =[
- huh?
- andys records RIP. red eye in ipswich is a good bet
- Forget it -- go to Ipswich
- Andy's Records used to be on Hamilton Rd - that was qite good but it went a couple of years back. Woolworths mostly has chart c.ds so if you want a good selection you have to go to HMV or Virgin (I prefer HMV - its cheaper!)in Ipswich.
- um none only woolies fstowe sux 4 shops unless ur old !!!
- Woolworths is fine, Helped alot lately by the opening of WHSmiths and a refurbed Tesco Metro selling cheap c.d's dvd's
- Colins Records which was pre Ian’s Records but post Andy’s Records. Imaginative lot these Felixstowe record store owners. No need to lament Ian’s records too much, after all, he offered only a very small and very limited selection.
- ian's records sadley gone, now just another hairdressers
- The only place for decent records and CDs shut down ages ago. How I miss Ian's Records - it's enough to make me all nostalgic and emotional - sponataneous buys there meant huge defecits in pocket money, but some fantastic musical discoveries. Ian now works in Costa Coffee in Ipswich. We now have to shop for records in Ipswich, or off the internet, cos Woolworth's, quite frankly, isn't up to it.
- Our last specialist owner operator music shop; Ians Records gave up last year and all is left is the national chain stores.
- I'm not gonna harp on about Ian's Records, cos the guy looks loads happier working in Costa Coffee in Ipswich. Bottom line; goto Ipswich.
- With the sad closure of Ians music, (he is now working in Costa Cafe in Ipswich !) we now have to use woolworths, or in fact not bother! WHSmiths has cheap albums, but other than that use ipswich !
- Andys records, everything for everyone at the right price, and I don't work for them.
- The Felixtowe Sunday market has this geezer who does a nice line in old-skool Country and Western.
- no where else apart from woolworths unfortunately the other place closed down.
- not suprising: it was the size of a very small box.
- Sadly soon to become another victim of this internet craze, Ian's Records was the place to be. The service was great - what other shop would sell you a cd then offer you free tickets to the American Music Club later that night! Another good place to pull!
- Ians has closed down due to lack of support from all those lovely Felixstowians, the only good thing in the town has closed down, which is why I'm emmigrating to a certain triangular island where we wear smashing shorts! To those of you who do want to buy good music from a good record shop go to Rex's in Ipswich, its the next best thing. Long live Uncle ian and auntie Roy!!!
- Unfortunately, due to ever decreasing sales, Ian closed his record shop doors for the last time on Saturday the 25th March 2000. He will be sadly missed.
- ians is cool
- ian's is possibly one of the greatest record shops in the world. ian is a top chap and stocks some great tunes and with me working there it has now got even better.
