Clement. Passages of Life in Ferndale & District is a collection of data and photographs published in two volumes on the area from the early 1800’s up to and beyond the 1960’s. This fascinating account of life during these periods includes farming, mining, religion, education, transport, employment, housing, people, sport, World War 1 & 2 and many more features, which incorporates hundreds of detailed photographs for readers to enjoy. This collective work has taken almost twenty years of research and has finally come to fruition in two compact volumes, which can be obtained from the address and contact numbers below.

  • THE ARTS FACTORY - REFURBISHED THE OLD CHAPEL ON THE STRAND AND FREQUENTLY HOLDS A VARIETY OF ENTERTAINMENT AIMED MAINLY AT THE YOUNGER GENERATION. AN ADMIRABLE LOCAL COMPANY THAT EMPLOYS MANY SPECIAL NEEDS OF ALL AGES. RECENTLY CAMPAIGNING FOR A WIND FARM ON THE WESTERN MOUTAIN. PRODUCES LOTS OF CRAFT WORK AT REASONABLE PRICES
  • We do have an Art's Factory in Ferndale. Where all children can go and have a try of all the craft's on offer. They can try potery, stain glass making, wood work and gardening. There are many new attraction soon to open. This can be all tried by children free and a small charge will be set for adults.
