- on the subject of Tragidy I think that the 300+ coal miners who died in the underground explosions of 1867 & 1869 need a mention. A beautiful tribute to their hard work lies at Oakland Park 300 metres above where they now rest. Peaceful walkways lie to the north and south along the old R. Fach railway line - cyclists are welcome (no motor bikes/ scooters etc.) The Route to the South takes you to Tylorstown, under the pedestrian Bridge and take the path to the right, the new surgery honours those men who died in pit explosions in the collieries of the town. Pop in Lidls, buy some ant-acids and call in the shot to meet a few local and national heros, like the lead singer of the Racing Cars - 'They shoot horses dont they' ( n0. 1 in .....) forgive me Gareth Mortimer. Anyhow this should be under the best things!
- LACK OF PROSPERITY FOR UNQUALIFIED YOUTH, LOTS OF RAIN AND YOUR STOMACHE AFTER ONE OF ALI,S KEBABS
- The worst thing about Ferndale is that there isn't any night clubs. I think the place would benifit from a few 'all' night clubs. Also Ferndale would really benifit from a train service. We only have a bus service and that is not really that reliable.
