You can tell us more about Ferndown.

Pubs
  • The Angel is the place i go a few times a year but i don't live in England anymore so don't have a geoffing clue so ignore any 10 year old comments about 15 year olds cos i'm almost 30 and haven't lived in England for 3 years let alone Ferndown!! Love it though. Heather for footy on telly and Angel for poncey famly meals at extortionate prices!
  • The White Heather has new owners and a new look, being newly refurbished late August 2003, our locals love it. It has a totally new atmoshere and some new faces. The new owners are from Warwickshire and make anyone welcome. Go in you will be amazed.
  • White heather
  • Best pub at moment got to be the nightjar, its cheap as chips and the conversation is secopnd to none. closely followed by the smugglers which if you live in tricketts cross makes it very handy.
  • Suggest you try the Puredrop again. It now has a new manager and will soon become the best pup in ferndown
  • A new pub has opened in Victoria road called Nightjar, but one has also been closed down in Wimborne road, the Wincroft.
  • Smugglers Haunt has to be the best although there are some other such as the Puredrop.
  • If you go to any pub in Tricketts cross then you are either mad or you live there. Beware inbread gypo's with too many fingers and large foreheads. The Dudsbury, now the River Park Inn, is about the only good pub in the area. Clientelle can be a tad on the young side but summer evenings in the beer garen are hard to beat.
  • The best pub in Ferndown has to be the Smugglers (in an area of Ferndown called Trickets Cross). The worst pub in Ferndown has to be The Pure Drop.
  • Ferndown is known for the Dudsbury Pub where most of the younger population go on a Friday night. The pub controversially changed its name a few years ago to the River Park. Expensive beer: pint of Bud, Kronenbourg is £1.95, Fosters £1.85, also John Smiths draught, Directors, Websters and Courage. Formerly known in Ferndown for selling the local Ringwood Brewery's beer. Another controversial decision to change it.
  • White Heather is good anf dthe most lively. You may however see the odd fight here!
