Pubs
- Fortunately the MAGPIE has now closed down. Good riddance. Plenty of other great pubs in the village.
- You have missed an icon of Buckinghamshire hostelry: THE CROOKED BILLET. Of a summers evening, you can get hammered in ye olde countryside and then stagger back into Flackwell up past the allotments - acquiring the odd lettuce on the way - and the Scout Hut and annoy all the coffin dodgers in their bungalows. Fab entertainment!!!
- The magpie is a right hole, worst pub in the village.
- Free pool in the green man Sundays - Wednesdays
- Loads of pubs in Flackwell! All it's good for really. The Green Dragon (which is actually blue), Green Man, Cherry Tree, The Stag, The Magpie, Three Horseshoes - enuff for a village of this size!
- Green Dragon...nice regulars, good home cooked food,friendly landlord and landlady, bands on a friday night, no kids after 8pm.
- The Magpie Pub. As the licencee of the magpie for the past two years I was very surprised & amused at the suggestion that we enjoyed a gay clientele on a Saturday or any other night!!.The MAGPIE is a small,warm,welcoming local with darts,poole,crib&dominoes sky sports on a big screen as our most exotic activity.Certainly not a pub for `SAILOR BOYS`. Someone is having a laugh.
Serious beer drinkers pub would be a more apt description.
- Stay clear of the Magpie on a Saturday night. Sailor boys, clad leather and waxy moustaches
- Quite a few, though go to Beaconsfield/ Wycombe for a better choice. Though most have beer gardens for the summer.
