The Best Things
- Flitwick lower School. The Mount.
- Affordable housing within commuting distance (by car) of St. Albans and (by train) London. House prices are however rising faster than the National Average. For those without transport Flitwick has superb facilities for a village/town of its size. Sports Centre with 25m pool, fitness gym, 2 squash courts, 5-aside and 11-aside football leagues and a full programme of aerobics. pilates etc...
Flitwick has an SSSI in Flitwick Moor also a really nice Bluebell Woods and easy access to A6 and the M1.
It has a TESCO (for better or worse) and a really nice kids area on Hatfield Road which is well respected.
It has excellent doctors, midwife clinic, dentist (really modern) and physiotherpists as well as a very good Barber (Flitwick Barber).
- The paths are generally quite smooth on the Tesco side of the railway track and Flitwick is really easy to get to with a railway track, the M1 15 minutes away etc.
- plenty of open spaces good road & rail links
