The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Flitwick.
Pubs
- The Crown is the best pub in Flitwick, it has been under new ownership for several years (from about 2003 I believe), there are no mannequin parts or sticky carpets, it's been fully refurbished. Just a good range of beers, friendly regulars (I'm one of them!) and no nonsense down there. Free pool on Mondays and live entertainment most Saturdays.
- The crown has recently seen a face lift and is lookin alot better especially for the summer with the wooden deckin out the back. The bee is the best pub in flitwick by a long shot just needs a later licence.
- we are having a race for charity nite at the Dudley Port House in Dudley Port, Tipton if you wish to come. You can pick a horse and see if it wins on the big screen. It will be a fantastic night for all and a good way to give to charity at the same time :) Event dated 12th August 2004 about 7.30 start.
- The Bumblebee and Blackbirds seem to have a lot of fresh faced and youthful looking customers (the beer must be anti-aging0! The staff in both aren't amaxing and askign for wine is a gamble (even if you state Sauvingnon and point to it, you'll end up with Chardonnay!). The Swan is nice and comfortable, with friendly staff and good pub quizes.
- Blackbirds has a reasonable reputation for food and a semi-lively friday and saturday night. Wheatsheaf is a real local pub but has a lounge area and gardens (bigger than you may at first think) where you feel welcome. Forget the rest.
- The Bumble Bee, The Swan,The Blackbirds, The Whitehorse, The Wheatsheaf and The Crown.
- I have visited the wheatsheaf in flitwick every night for the last two weeks. There have been no topless barmaids at all! Nor no music!
Seems the info on the site may be very out of date. Unless you know better......!!
- the flitwick club on the high st. is a great old style pub pool ,dominoes function room & good beer at club prices
- There is not one decent pub in Flitwick and yet, just up the road in Westoning, they have 2 really good pubs (Chequers and Bell) for just a small village.
We use the Swan cos its nearest to home. The gardens in the Wheatsheaf and White Horse are really good.
- We used to use the Crown. I understand its changed now though. It used to be great. Video jukebox, dirty sticky carpets and mannekins parts hanging from the ceiling.
- There's only two worth going to. The Blackbirds ot The Bumble Bee. The rest are crap so don't bother.
