The Worst Things in Formby, Merseyside*

The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it

You can tell us more about Formby.

The Worst Things
  • The worst thing about Formby is the wannabees. OK their parents worked hard but, they are ill-mannered and ignorant. They know who they are. Wearing a label on the outside of your clothes doesn't make you a fashion icon. A natural tan will always look better than a salon bought one. Dogs are for walking not carrying in a handbag. I don't want to listen to your whining and whinging. Local produce does not include wild boar sausages. There are plenty of bores in Formby and indeed some are porcine but hey wake up this is an aspiringpseudomiddle class ghetto. Walk down the Village in the weeks around Christmas and see people with style. They left to go to University to read something other than sports science and didn't do a beaticians course at Hugh Baird. They have learned how to dress properly and don't have their children dressed as mini-mes. Before you comment I am a university educated long-time resident of Formby whose family has lived here for longer than most. You ruined our village. Be proud.
  • people who complain about Formby when its acctually very nice.
  • I was pissed off when they demolished Huddle Hall too, I used to live there until I was 16 with by Brothers Dave and Phil and My Sister Diane. Great memories though!!
  • majority of people are old which isnt a bad thing if they werent so old fashioned and stuck in a rut
  • Scallies. Wannabe WAGs. Old People. Kids. Waitrose. Marksies. Neros. Tourists.
  • Scousers and the WAGS
  • the well i had the right of way anyway attitude of the snobby miserable drivers who never acknowledge when you let them pass( sorry to say, i'm turning into one of them.) also, formby women drivers when you see a gap pull out please pull out i want to get to work before it's dark!
  • The girls - all snakes woth tits
  • Has become more stuck up over the last 10 years than ever before! People need to get out more, there's a big world out there that doesn't include Shorrocks Hill and drinking in the grapes all day Sunday. Range High School is to blame, since parents only sent their kids there Formby has become a very insular place - stop it - It's not even a nice school!
  • The PEOPLE are becoming more seriouse each day It is a very tense place the local spirit is being worn out through snobbery and elitism people are too judgemental LIFE IS SHORT BE HAPPY and kind TO ALL no body is better than anybody else teach your children to care and be kind not to be selfish and self centerd look positively there are too many negative people in formby with horrible attitudes if that comment upsets you then you must be one of them dont be so critical LIVE A LOT WITH THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU GIVE and YOU WILL RECIEVE
  • Scalleys
  • cost of housing
  • The old people. Do they ever stop moaning?
  • Most stuff.
  • bike shop...tits
  • Tossers who think they are scousers, even though they have lived in formby all their life!
  • should flatten the whole of formby that would really give the biggoted, complaining, stuck up, middle class, self centred , narrow minded, formby times reading residents some thing to complain about.
  • plastic scallies on scooters
  • Range High School! Parents, DO NOT SEND your kids there!!
  • The place in general. As everyone's mother from outside Formby remarks, 'Its all petticoat and no knickers'
  • The guy who works in that pizza place across from The Grapes
  • All the pubs are turning into pub style McDonalds... kids, fast food etc.
  • Lots of Tories. Middle class kids trying far too hard to imitate Scouse accents and attitude with often comical results. Overdevelopment over the last forty years doing a lot of harm to the character of the place. Especially, the demolision of Huddle Hall when I was a kid. I'm still pissed off about that. Formby's still a pleasant residential kind of place but it could have been nicer.
  • The Formby Times - For 'small minded' people!
  • Over recent years there have been various sightings of a "black panther"!. The wild beast lives along the coast between Formby and Southport.
  • The elitest snobs at Formby Golf Club
