    Well I dont know who you had been speaking to but I had no intention of ending our relationship at that time.Silly me....thought we were happy.To me,I was starting a new venture in my life but you were always going to be included in that.
    It took me over a year to pay back all that money!!

I spent a term at a convent in Freshfield in 1946 when my mother was ill. I remember walking in pinewoods. I don't think it is there now. I would like to hear from anyone else who knows anything about it and I would love to see a photo

    Hi, this sounds very much to me like St.Joseph's nursing home at the end of Blundell Avenue. The building was first a family home, and the daughter of the owner got tuberculosis and became ill, and the owner put funds towards turning the property into a nursing home for victims of tuberculosis, and the convent was built.

I am looking for anyone who knew my dad, Bernard Linaker. He grew up on Birlington Avenue Formby. He used to drive the Ribble busses over 40 years ago and there was a rumour he had a daughter with one of the ticket ladies. If I have a half sister I'd like to meet her. anyone know anything?

It's basically a landline telephone number you can ring. 0870 755 0872.
