• Balaclava, Brewery(now demolished-shame), Oak Tree, Mariners, The Crown, The Ship, The Station Hotel, The Royal Hotel & Bar, Cheers, R.A.F Pub, Saltoun Hotel, Black & White (gone?),CPT? beside Co-op, Royal British Legion, Jim's Bar,Masonic new owner, Kenyan Bar (used to be my local until quitting drink&cigs-best(my opinion) tightest pockets on pool table in town),ok prices too, or it used to be, Elizabethan, Findlays... Think that's the lot! Bad memory though. ;-)

• Abd has their own local and will always prefer it. My local is The Bala, used to be the very first Jims Bar (the time they changed it fae the wine tower ower ti jims bar) bit at closed doon for a while and the new folk that run it dinna hae a clue. Doonstairs Royal wiz nae bad for a quiet drink and a couple o pound in the jukebox, until we realized far we were at.
• I cant believe no-one has mentioned the George and Dragon yet! Its probably be best balanced pub in the broch. Nae full of auld mannies, nae dingy, nae overly sport-oriented and theres tonnes of talent n young folk oot at the weekends. But its nae noisey crammed and uncomfortable wi awful music like the ship or other bars that market themselves toward the youth. Lively place. Also, the Belsleas a really nice pub and its a lot more pleasent for listening to bands than the balla!!!

• The good old Balaclava Bar is most definately the best pub in the broch, its got the best crowd o folk, nae snobby bastards like in the ship and abody is up 4 a good laugh. Its nae full o bairnies like in cheers, design ur own cocktails and shots u theiving bastards!!! Bala bar staff are quick and fun, service with a smile (from most of them) he he. You canna beat it. the only thing is that minger Leanne buchan, get her ti fuck, naebody wants ti hear her singing onymair, simply the best - my fucking arse!
• CHEERS BAR is the best pub to go to. a couple of years ago it used to be the ship, how cheers has taken over. every time i go in there the place is rocking.

• The bellslea bar is a good laugh at the weekend, friendly bar staff and a good karaoke sesh starts the night and then to the ship for excellent music and a great atmosphere.
• The ship is a decent place you can go there for a drink wi your pals and hae a dance too, plus its free entry unlike deejays.

• The Boozer, one of the newest pubs in the Broch, don't bother going if you are a druggie or under 18. Mac, the kickboxing bouncer, won't let you in. At last a publican who abides by the rules. Pity it has to close at 12.30 otherwise it would give DJ's and the Royal a run for their money!
• Dj's is a fine place ti go if u are looking for an empty wallet/purse on sunday morning! prices are unreal and it's full o kids. Music used to be good but now its more school disco than nightclub. So please please please will someone elso open another nightclub in the broch so that we can gan oot and hay a good time like we used too!!!!
