- THE ESSEX SKIPPER, is now under new ownership, catering for a mature eliment as well as a younger crowd, the new owners run a zero tollerance towards drugs and violence, now with pool and darts teams, quiz nights on thursdays,live music every fri and sat night
- The Hungry Horse has an excellent Lady's Darts Night. It also has a Lady's farts Night on Thursdays.
- "The Tit and Chipmonk" is the best local pub. It may be more expensive than the others but owner Dexter Fletcher is said to be good at football and can do impressions of Rigsby form Rising Damp, Bruce Forsythe and Lloyd Grossman.
