The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Gainsborough.
Pubs
- Canute is quite expensive but very nice ( where catalogue bargain shop used to be)
- 8 jolly brewers near guildhall for old *arts really and luvvers of real ale
- extras probably the best in town.you can now dance and open till 2.wethers is ok too both in town
- Best pub is the Xtra !!! busy on weekends ! wethers is okay but we only go cos its cheap!
- nodding donkey
- Loads of pubs full of druggies and miserbale landlords.
- the peacock
- Rumours (town centre - tucked round corner near Greens) nice atmosphere (unlike most pubs in Gainsborough! Also Elm Cottage - on Morton Terrace.
- Jd's in Gainsborough! Too Quiet! Lords........... 10 year olds can get hammered in there!
- Not many places let u in unless u have id.
- there are pubs that are getting less and less used as people prefer to travel to lincoln where the girls dont have children and you are less likely to get a slap from the local muppets
- Did you know there are over 20 pubs and clubs in Gainsborough? Theres: Plough (old men mainly), Billet (nice, but small), Horse & Jockey (bit rough), Horse and Groom (very rough) , White Hart, Sun, Xtra (Was black bull) Lords, 8 Jolly Brewers, Trentport, Peacock, Jack and Jill (very youthful in here!), Elm Cottage (all the staff from the high school go here), Friendship, Half moon, blues club, cons club, liberal club, nodding donkey, ropery pub, OK, that's all I remember!
- I think that all the pubs need sorting, you need some trendy bars. Visit Nottingham for some inspiration.
- Xtra is a buzzing place to be with a great atmosphere and great music - but anyone who dares to dance will be bounced out by the management.
- Eight Jolly Brewers, Ship Court, Gainsborough
Enjoy real ale? This is THE place to be. 9 real
ales, good company.
- Drovers is the place to be seen!
- The Crooked Billet (Lots of atmosphere) where Tony Smailes and I invented the practice of crooked billeting. The Half Moon at Willingham.
