I noticed the name on the description of activities at the Warkton POW camp and think that I used to work with Gunter at Jewers in Kettering, prior to my move to Canada.

Hi.Could anyone tell me if Geddington Social Club is still up and running. I recall they used to have some fine jamming sessions there on a tuesday or wednesday night. Its been some time since I was in Geddington, but would welcome a night in the old club. I would be most thankfull for any information.

Bandit, did Martin Thompson ever venture in the club when you lived there, I understood he used to drink round Geddington a few years ago, I am almost sure he used the Club as one of his watering holes.]

  • Re: Social Club by bandit (Member 10092616) on 11-Mar-2004
Hi. Tommy, can't say I can recall him, I did not live in Geddington, I lived in Kettering, but work kept me on the move a lot, I am still in the area quite a lot and was thinking of calling in the club on my next visit, if it's still open.

Seeking John Thomas Crabbe by S (Member 10070575) on 25-Jun-2002
I am looking for information of a John Thomas Crabbe from freshwater, Isle of Wight. He was in the Royal Navy on board the HMS Shackleton, around 1959-62? He was friendly with a Bob Mitchell and Geoff Cleary. I believe he now resides in the Northants area. I hope someone remembers him and knows where to find him to pass this information. john.wright16@ntlworld.com

Here begins the first ever debate (I hope): Sirloin versus T-Bone steak. I prefer Sirloin myself, though T-Bone is good with bbq sauce.

Let's include other steaks such as Rump as well.
