You can tell us more about Gillingham.

Cheap Food
  • Food will kill you It all comes from Latvia so eat it at your own risk. Its shit.
  • Food will kill you It all comes from Latvia so eat it at your own risk. Its shit.
  • McDonalds is your last resort but the place always seems to be grubby.
  • Cafe at Livingtone Circus, stays open all times of day and most of the night too. Gordon Road Kebab. Gillingham now has two Subway's and it's own Domino Pizza.
  • yea thats true chicken and chips shop aladins stufs are very rude . they always speak each other in pakistany language and laughing too loud like you are joker infornt of them.
  • aladins chicken and chips shop is SHIT !! stufs are very rude and poor food !
  • order online asdas great, save all that carrying and time, choose a time from £3.50 delivery but you save anyway by choosing the best offers and control how much (needs to be £25 though)or tescos!
  • McDonalds..And about a million other generic kebab shops scattered all over the place. Just DON'T buy from Chicken Hot 4 U. They spit in your food and I've seen blood in their food before.
  • Dunno bout cheap? but i do kno bout nasty!
  • noodle house by the entrance to gateways in the high st
  • A restaurant that's fun whilst professional, portions that are (very) generous whilst not compromising on quality, staff who are friendly whilst polite, and a menu that encourages experimentation whilst still offering popular favourites! It's recently refurbished and the theming brings a little Hollywood glamour to the surroundings without the price tag! I thoroughly recommend it! For more details visit http://www.thehollywoodbowl.co.uk
  • Thyme Out sandwich bar do the best doorstep sandwiches for miles around. Fill you up all day!
  • Neese's for a fry up, Summer palace in livingstone circus for a chinese and spice court, opposite the station, for an indian. all top class places!!
  • Kebabs 4 u, Twydall
  • http://www.bigspendersclub.co.uk/
  • Thai Noodles, High St. More than you can eat for less than a fiver!
  • Mega Wok in hempstead valley best chinese ever!
  • take her up the SHIPA !
  • The chinese in twydall green. I believe its called Lams Garden. they do the top chinese in the area. their chicken balls and curry is just top! it's a must try!
  • THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL - Stay away from this place, had a meal with friends, pre-ordered etc. The starters was just o.k., when the main course arrived the chicken was not cook and frozen in places and all the food was cold. Complete waste of time and money. The Manager was useless. Would not recommend this restaurant at all.
  • Top Kebab
  • Rowland's Bistro is simply the best restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is always freshly cooked. The prices are very reasonable and the menu's offer a lot of variety, definitely something for everyone.
  • Anamika is the best indian in the whole of the medway towns! The food is cooked fresh and is always ready within 1/2 an hour. The staff are also soooo friendly, they always hold the door open! It is along watling street as is Ko-Wah which is also the best chinese in medway towns! The portions are huge and the prices are quite reasonable.
  • Pizza Plus in the High Street is excellent, fast and friendly delivery and two pizzas for the price of one every time - can't say fairer than that! And Jenny's, also in the High Street, lovely food, plenty of veggie options on the menu, and fast and friendly service.
  • Hollywood Bowl aint bad, bit small tho. Ditto Rowland's Bistro. Spice Court on Balmoral Road is SIMPLY THE BEST CONTEMPORARY INDIAN RESTARAUNT IN THE WORLD!!!
  • Wigmore Fish Bar
  • Tikes kebab is sooooooooo nice, then theres maccy d's and the wimpy. Go Go pizza is gorgeous and they deliver.
  • The Mango Tree resturant referred to in the guide no longer exists. It is now called the Spice Court Indian Restuarant located opposite Gillingham Stattion. It is under new ownership and the food by gillingham standard is above the normal with more sensible prices. Check it out.
  • Some one said earlier about Duru's quite right they dont close and the food is good. Dont let Memmit give you a Turkish kiss. A little kebab shop just off Livingstone road is always open as well and does Suasage and chips for a quid, now that aint bad after a few pint.
  • Duru's Kebab shop on watling street is the best kebab shop in the world (no lie they make shit hot kebabs ask anyone who's ever gone to the star or Ave and walked towards chatham the first thing you think when you come out is duru's it's the best)
  • Hollywood Bowl. Overpriced but good-quality.
  • The only decent resturant in Gillingham is Rowlands Bistro, Watling Street. Top food, wicked, friendly staff, reasonably priced and an extensive bar menu - probably the best in Medway. Did I mention the top staff again?!? (anyone would think that I work there!) It is good though!
  • Tried the new Indian/Thai restaurant called Monsoon opposite Staples in Chatham - its great. Fantastic choice, good service and a tasty curry.
  • SANCHOS KEBAB JUST UP FROM THE ZONE RULES BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS SING U A SONG IN TURKISH!!
  • Duru's for the best kebabs in the world (plus the dodgiest punters). It is also never, ever closed. Shipa for a late night curry.
  • Macdonalds are abundant:Gillingham, Chatham - Hempstead Valley is the newest.
  • 109 is a restaurant on the A2, actually in Rainham. Modern European, excellent food. They do a set menu 19.95 for 3 courses, that is 2 for the price of 1 on Monday. The Mango Tree near the station serves very good modern indian cuisine. I particulatly remember a squid dish and the Saffron Kulfi, expensive by Gillingham standards, but as a Londoner I'd say good value. Ace of Spice on the A2, near the Fire Station has recently opened. Good food, more traditional Anglo-Indian, with some nice surprises. Also has an exceptionally good wine list for an Indian restaurant.
  • Maccy D's and too many kebab shops to mention
  • New Trendy Indian restaurant opened up opposite the station, I havent tried it yet, but it looks good and is called the Mango Tree (it is a bit pricey though). If you want chinese go into Chatham, cos although the foods quite good at thw Beijing Inn, the service is crap, and the manager's a tosser.
  • 'Flavours of Asia' is the best Indian food delivery service in the Medway towns. I tried it: the telphone number's Medway 300600.
  • McDonalds, Wimpeys (yes, they do still exist), the odd chippy or kebab place, and many a Tandoori.
  • If you like lots of tasty American style food try the Hollywood Bowl, I never come out hungry and I recommend the BBQ ribs (you get given a bib to eat them!!!). It's found near the Black Lion.
  • Welcome Chinese Take-away in Canterbury Street.
  • The Beijing Restaurant opposite the Co-op.
  • Brittain Farm. My brother had his wedding reception there, brilliant food, I believe the place has changed hands since then.
