- The general comments in all categories about Gilmorton seem to be written by the same unhappy and very synical villager. How sad! The recently opened, new shop is indeed a "phenomena" if you referring to the positive contribution it seems to be making to the village. Feedback from customers has always been complementary about service, products stocked (both basic & the more interesting)and we always try and be competitively priced during the long 75 hours each week we are open. It would be good if the previous unhappy contributor to Knowhere identified him/herself - I'm sure their comments are really only tongue in cheek and he/she is probably quite a laugh! Alan Wilson
- Alas the shop which is due to close, dare i say without being witch hunted!!!!
- The village shop is quite an phenomena. Also known as "Harrods", this quaint little store offers everything you could possibly need from string to spaghetti all enormously over-priced.
Yet they get away with it. Expect to pay 2p for a penny sweet and up to £4 for a jar of coffee.
