  • Battery Park all u Battery punters remember the good old days down the shit works all that vodka stomachs of iron
  • The Continental Cafe used to be the best spot, simply known as "The Cafe". With about fifteen Pubs in a row ranging from the Cardwell to The Firth Hotel, ending up in The Cafe there was simply no way of failing. The one problem is that with a small town mentality, everyone knew how drunk you were, Quickly! Nowadys it seems to have moved to "Word Up", in Greenock, known locally as "Hard Up!" A sad reflection on the lack of decent employment sources.
  • The wee balcony outside the old cafe (arcade) at the sand-ponds,great spot for a kerry oot.Now washed away,I think! The barracks, where I had my first feel. Does any one remember Simon,s arcade? levan castle and the donkeys, here hod this tail aminit
