Skateboarding Spots
- The new half-pipe at the battery park is always good for drunken laughs.
- New sktaepark has been built in the Battery Park (Greenock), 2x 5tf Qtr, 6ft Qtr, 6ft Roll in, bank and a couple of fun boxes.....made of metal!
- Greenock:- Waterfront, College, Sk8 park coming to battery park
- Murray and Steven Watts had nothing to do with the burning of the legendary ramp. It was that fat guy with the chinky eyes from the year above me in school who burnt it down with an out of control midge repeling fire (i'm not kiding). I was there and nobody tried to stop the fire because nobody skated the ramp anymore and it was falling apart due to a lack of Hunters' loving attention. Why don't any of today's gromets build something worth skating?
- Steven Watts never burned down the ramp he helped build it, how do i know that, cause i am he! It was mad "muzz" murray and a fat dude called stewart whitticker. We never let them into a party one night cause they never drunk, so they thought it would be funny to torch the ramp, thinking about it now it was quite funny cause a few years later one of them was drunk at the very same house the party was at before and they fell asleep and got their hair set on fire! What comes around goes around kid.
- Speaking as the person who spent most of my time building and rebuilding the ramp in moorfoot field, i can categorically state that it WAS in fact burnt down, and not by big paul. In fact the first incarnation of this ramp was built in big pauls garage by myself, big paul and niv(dange)b...
- why are there so many skateboarders why dont u try aggressive skating find out more at www.boardom.net, the best place to skate in gourock is cove road, smooth surface on the road excellent fo beginners, and a cul-de-sac road just around the courner where u can skate to piss the residents off
- not just skateboarders in gourock what about aggresive skaters.
the best place is around cove road, is really flat, good for speed and theres good curds to grind all they need is wax. and u get to annoy old granny in the new buildings in adam street by jumping there stairs
- GREG DAVID AND JAMIE SAY ROUND THE FRONT OF THE SPAR TO ANNOY MR DEHSI AND BY THE WAY MRS DEHSI'S FIRST NAME IS JASPIER, SO SPREAD IT! AND THE TEACHERS AT MOORFOOT SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- You can skate ootside moorfoot roond the back. Or go up on the roof but av nver dun at. Or ootside the spar and take the mickey oot of mr desi. mrs desi's first name is JASPIER!
- the sewage works is pretty cool, trouble is, there hardly ne skatrers in gourick nemore(part from that bloke who stays across the street who i never spoke to) so, u gotta head up to the waterfront to be with other like urself, i can usually be found there
- ALL ALONG GOUROCK PROMENADE - ABOUT 3 MILES, HAS BENCHES WITH NO ENDS AND NO WAX, EXCELLENT FOR SKATING, THERE IS ALSO A KNEE HIGH LEDGE RUNNING ALONG FOR QUITE A WHILE THAT IM GOING TO WAX TOMMOROW. DOUBLE SETS OF 2, 3 STAIRS ETC. AND VERY LITTLE HASSLE. IN GREENOCK CLYDE SQUARE AND THE WATERFRONT CINEMA ARE THE MAIN PLACES TO SK8 OR HOOKUP.
- don't bother with Gourock, get up to Greenock round the back of the bingo where we've built a funbox and a grind box with a six foot long metal edge, beautiful!
- Plenty.
The whole town is built into a hill
Skateboard heaven here!!!!!!
- Outside Cas's house, where the residents hate SK8ers.
So you can piss them off, but enjoy a good SK8 spot.
However keep an eye out for the 5-0, who will promptly treat you like a fucking degenerate for enjoying yourself.
- THE TRAIN STATION
- The mini-ramp in Moorfoot was my mates! It did not burn down! WE STILL HAVE IT!!! Any way St Columba's H.S is OK (except all the neds) to skate in. Just stairs an stuff.
- We have none unfortunately
- Stan the Manly Man did not burn down the mini at Moorfoot it Was our very
own Paul Murray and Steve Watts! (I have this from a reliable source, Paul
last night in the pub and he told me to write it too!)
- Outside Gourock Pool. There's a couple of benches, small walls etc!
- There no longer is a skateboard ramp near Moorfoot primary. The janitor, Stan, the manly man, burned it to the ground.
- Small mini-ramp. Near Moorfoot Primary School. Not much else known.
