I can earn a few million quid and so can you.
Just get enough mugs to give up their money and pay it into your bank account. The more the better!
So, if you feel like making me some money, just start sending the cash....... or if you're smart, tell me to ef off!!

Hello, I'm trying to find an old sea mate of mine, Laird MacFarlane. Laird and I sailed with Denholms in 1978 on a ship called the Troll Park. he was a marine engineer. Laird lived in Gourock at that time and was 33 years old. If he's still around he'll be 62 now. He had a younger brother and a wealthy pal who ran a meat factory of some sort. Laird was my Sea Daddy when I was 17 and he really look ed after me. I have boys of my own of that age now and I just want to catch up with him and thank him. Someone told me he'd moved to the USA some years ago but that wasnt confirmed. Can anybody help? ... more >>

| Andrea McKelvie

by ROZ LARSON (Member 10147042) on 15-Mar-2007

I'm trying to get in touch with my childhood friend Andrea McKelvie. She lived at 41 Nelson Road and went to Gourock Primary and Greenock Academy. I haven't seen her since my mother's funeral about 11 years ago in Gourock. My maiden name was Rosalind Comrie and I lived at 25 Nelson Road. I now live close to Chicago. I'd really like to know how she's doing and any information would be much appreciated.

Hey Sis, I went to Friends Reunited to see if Andrea was registered there...she isn't...but I saw Margaret Cooper's name on there.

Hello Rosalind,
I am unable to provide you with information concerning Andrea, but I could not resist writing to you for the sake of nostalgia.
In our life we shared some delicate adolescent moments; I remember walking you home on one occassion, and the address of 25 Nelson Road is imprinted indelibly on my memory forever, I am sure that I did indeed love you for a short while but then you went away.
I now live in Argyll, just across the river from Gourock.
You may recall me as Jada, (West End Cafe Days).
I hope you are well, and have had a good life.
If you are ever in the area again please give me a call.

James Stevenson,
I have no idea who you are, are you confusing me with my sister Pene? I indeed lived at 25 Nelson Road, but who are you? Maybe I'm forgetting something that was truly awesome! Maybe I'm forgetting something truly awesome! Get back to me.

Did we go to school together? You have caught my attention. I live close to Chicago with my husband of 27 years (retired US submarine Captain) and would love to hear from you! Did nwe attend Gourock Primary together?

In the early 70's her sister Elizabeth was my girlfriend and I was round at 41 Nelson Road a lot. Andrea will be 57/58 now.
I would like to know where Elizabeth is now and what she is up to. Probably she is still in Nursing. She had twin boys in 1977 or 1978.
Anyone know.

Hi - it's Dorothy here - it's been a long time! Danny and I have just moved back to Gourock after being away for years, first to Australia for 14 years and then to Glasgow for 10. Colin is married with a teenage daughter and lives in Holland. It's hard to believe he'll be 50 in a couple of days!

Just been checking out this page and really surprised to see hardly any activity. Check out the Port Glasgow site. It would put us all to shame. PG is my hometown and I always knew we were a friendly bunch. Where are all the Gourockians???
- Re: is anybody there?
by Chris Turner (Member 10000068) on 6-Jan-2007
Hi Andreana,
Your right, not too many people want to use the board anymore.
I keep in contact with most old friends by e-mail, but I also visit this board about once a month, I would visit more frequently if people used the board.
As you mentioned, Port Glasgow and the Greenock boards put us to shame, it all depends if people can be bothered or not.
Have A Wonderful Day!

I forgot to mention, most of my relatives come from Port Glasgow "The Anderson's".
My grannie and granda lived at 21 Parkhill Avenue then they eventually moved to Bridgend area, my mum was born in Parkhill Avenue, the Anderson's all grew up in the Salvation Army on King Street. My mum, Grandparents and most of my Aunts and Uncles are all passed away now.
But, life goes on, one day I'll meet them all in Heaven.
God Bless. ... more >>

Mary, if you're looking for a blether with expat Scots, you should check out Sue's Blether Board. There's a lot of people from the Greenock/Gourock/Port Glasgow area on there. I found this link in an earlier posting. I haven't tried it out myself, but if you copied and pasted it into your browser it should work. http://p222.ezboard.com/bsuesscotchcorner
