- The cartoonist guy - the one who's an ex pupil of grangemouth High and supposed to live in South Africa - is his name not Jack Thomson - lived at Kenilworth Street through the fifties and sixties - he did stuff for newspapers, mags and the like. He's an author and writer now I think - and the closest he's got to South Africa is South Argyll where he still lives.

- Surprised no-one has mentioned ALAN DAVIE, the world famous contemporary artist. A mosaic representation of his work can be seen in York Square.
And lets not forget DAVID JENKINS, the triple Olympian sprinter. Outwardly "English", his early years were in fact spent in Princes Street, Grangemouth. David went on to even greater fame when he was arrested in 1988 for attempting to smuggle $70 million worth of steroids over the Mexican border into the US.
- Sadly Chris Quinn has settled down and very rarely graces the streets with verses of hail hail!! - sadly missed
- My name is Mary Axtell, and I stated I Processed Frank Sinatra's Health Insurance claims when I lived in California, USA. Well I forgot to add prior to that before I left Scotland in 1981, I worked for Desmond White the Director of Glasgow Celtic from 1966-1969, when Celtic won the European Cup against Inter Milan 1-0 in overtime. I lived with the family and looked after the Celtic Mascots. I think Desmond and his wife June are deceased, but whatever happened to Christopher White. Anyone out there know?. Thanks Mary
- I would like to add John Edward Lloyd Cowie to the list. My mother was Janet Wallace Gillson Cowie(married name Macdonald). John was her cousin. He died at age 22, when his ship HMS HOOD was sunk, while chasing the pocket battleship Bismark in 1941. I am not sure if his name is on the Cenotaph in the park but if someone could pass this along to the British Legion, maybe it should be there. Any Cowie relatives? Submitted by Mary Axtell/USA
